Sadly, for the food, this could’ve been a 5 star review. It was delicious. The service, however was atrocious. We ordered, and then ordered again. She didn’t bring out my son’s food. About ten minutes later, when we were finally able to get her attention and ask if it was coming out we got the most sarcastic “of course”. Another 15 minutes pass by. We cannot get her attention, even at the table next to us. Finally, someone is cleaning the table next to us (who came, ordered, ate, and left all after we ordered). She finally comes back. Doesn’t apologize, just says we didn’t order it and said she would put in now. When asked why she said she did, and that the food was coming, she just shrugged. We demanded the check. She disappeared. We watched as she seated, took orders, and just ignored us. My wife and son finally left to get him food from a place that may actually serve him. Finally, she was at the table next to us. Demanded my check. She said “sure” and then continued to ignore us. Finally, someone showed up with the check. It wasn’t accurate, but I honestly didn’t care. Paid and left. The waitress again watched my interaction with the manager/person taking payment and just acted like nothing happened. And yes, I did finally have to single her out to the manager.

Again, the food we actually got served was great. The service told me to avoid this place...

Mr. Sushi did the catering for my wedding. It was actually my first time trying them out and I was very pleasantly surprised. Normally, I would expect the quality of catered food to be not as good as something you would receive in the restaurant. The catered sushi from Mr. Sushi was super fresh, tasted great, and also looked great presented on the sushi boats which also happens to be an option that they offer to clients. Something like this makes all the difference when looking to provide guests with a much more high-end and luxurious experience over regular party trays.

Mr. Sushi also maintained regular contact with me in the weeks and days approaching my wedding and were flexible with the options they could offer depending on my budget. Their staff assisted with transporting the sushi boats in their entirety to my apartment complex and also assisted with removing the boats when the party was over.

Overall, I was extremely satisfied and they have a new customer in me not just for catering but likely for dine-in and...

I rarely give bad reviews and I hate doing it, but just would like to share my experience for people. Was asked to wait 5-10 minutes even though there was a vacant table. After 10 minutes, was asked to wait again for 10 more. I asked about the empty table and they said they cannot give it to me as I was only by myself. They added that most table just started so it might take a while - which made it apparently waiting for another 10 minutes is probably not enough. They are in groups so their chitchats will make their dining longer. I came here because I work in the area and I thought it would be convenient. I wish they were upfront about it when I came in, the I would have tried again next time. Now I have to look somewhere else to eat and my break is almost over. First time experiencing this. Other restaurants in the area would accommodate me in similar situations. I understand that this is a business and you want to maximize your profit, but don’t make it obvious that you don’t value...

Can't speak to what it's like to dine in, but we got delivery and were very underwhelmed. Weirdly flavourless, and *tiny* portions of almost everything. Rolls were small, unagi and BC roll were both ovecooked, and everything was buried in the same sort of bland thickened soy sauce. Even the goma-ae was tiny. In the picture here you'd think we'd eaten most of it alreadt, but that's all we got. Who cheaps out on goma-ae? Spinach is like the cheapest vegetable! The order of goma-ae was like four bites. Not ordering from here again.

Reply to the owner: the only downside was there was almost no avocado 😭 if there could be more then it would be a solid 5 ⭐️ —————————————- 👍🏻👍🏻Dynamite roll: THE BEST!!! Prawn, yam, avocado and crab meat, all things that i like rolled together! Unlike other places where 7/10 of the roll was crab, or using not soggy tempuras, everything in this one was freshly made. Unable to find a DR like this anywhere else until Mr.sushi opened its door in Van, brought me back to the time when I was coop at ICBC…
