I’m writing this to save you from a nightmare called Red Room. Two weeks ago, I had my backpack stolen from the coat check service with all my official documents, wallet, cell phone and keys inside it. Red Room has an abusive system to charge you for coat checking service and rude treatment by the staff. However, it can become even worse. At the end of the night, the front staff (Adriana and Mariana) couldn’t find my backpack. Adriana alleged that she did not remember me leaving the bag with them (So then what about the ticket with the tracking number that they gave me?), didn’t assume their fault at any time, refused to check the cameras, refused to give me immediate assistance, and delegated the matter to the “manager” Jerry (Gerardo Avila) who was not there anymore. Beyond negligent, Adriana was rude and mistreated me and my friend for not being fluent in English. Surprisingly, she also speaks Portuguese but refused to help us at that moment by not speaking in our native language. I left the bar without my documents, money, cell phone, keys and any assistance and was left to figure out what to do without any assistance, support, or acknowledgement of my safety.. Fortunately, my brother-in-law helped me to track the cellphone with the police and we recovered the backpack the following day under strange circumstances. The group that took my backpack by “mistake” contacted us when they discovered that they had been tracked. The story was even more strange when we discovered that the staff (Adriana and Mariana) were in contact with the thieves. When I went to retrieve my backpack, Mariana was there with a guy who said that two girls had taken my bag by mistake. They asked me to check my belongings briefly. Although, everything seemed to be there, when I finally could get home and check everything calmly, I discovered the money was not inside my wallet, a lipstick was not there, and everything was overturned. It didn’t seem like a mistake. After that, we tried to contact the manager Jerry (Gerardo Avila) but he refused to talk with my brother-in-law, who is local. During the week, he agreed to talk with me (though I am not fluent in English) and treated me even worse than the staff. He refused to accept responsibility and imposed it on me, alleging that I didn’t check right. I felt miserable and hurt during the conversation, while he shouted to me not to not speak anymore and ordered that I only hear him. That means there is never any reasonable resolution for the customer. Red Room doesn’t care about customers absolutely, doesn’t have a decent safety procedure, and asks you to leave their establishment or shut up when they can’t deal with the arguments. I regret risking myself and my safety for a Latin party at Red Room. In my case it almost ruined my life because of the official documents inside the backpack and the emotional expenses dealing with those...
Read moreWe were so excited to be celebrating two birthdays at Red room. One of the birthday girls emailed weeks in advance to set up a guest list and reserve a table. The communication was awful and they had to follow up several times. They were instructed to arrive before 10:00 p.m. we were told our party would get one free drink each, half price cover, a reserved booth and guest list entry. We showed up at 9:50 p.m. the girl who was in charge was in a heated confrontation with a drunk guest. Once she finished that interaction we inquired about our guest list and she told us that we were too late, would't get any of the perks that were quoted and have to wait in the long line even though it was prior 10 p.m. Cut off. She was incredibly ill-mannered to put it politely. We were in the line, one of our friends was a regular prior of the pandemic ( this was the first time out to a club for all of us) he was able to talk to a bouncer he had a good rapport with about the situation we were able to enter the guest list side. At this point it was 9:58 p.m. When we had to pay our covers the half price is not honoured. Then we were told that a $5 coat check was mandatory. We checked the dress code prior to coming and it said that there was a $3 coat check available but there was nothing about it being mandatory, or jackets not being allowed. Most frustratingly, we saw several people throughout the night wearing their jackets in the club. I was the first one in cuz I didn't have a coat with me. I was pretty disappointed to see that it was empty. I could potentially sympathize if there was a concern about accommodating guestlist due to traffic. However, this was just terrible customer service. All of us except one, this is thier first experience at Red Room and we won't come back. The service that we received was an absolute embarrassment . Your staff made the conscious decision to ruin the plans made for two people's 30th birthday parties at your club for no reason other than to flex their power. It is a rare occurrence that I have a customer experience that is so bad.... that Im invested enough to sit down and write a google review but...
Read moreTrue! They steal stuff! Don't trust this place. My husband and I went there, he forgot he had the box cutter from work. We were promised we'll get it back after. Then, it's gone. Of course we're upset, its from work. Yet they bullied us. Asked us to call police why we brought a knife in the club. Although we explained already. We could've went back in the car. Bunch of bullies, no wonder they're hired. Also, we tried talking to the manager but the bald "security" stopped us. Dared us to call police. I have work the next day, so yeah, we'll file for stolen property and maybe assault soon. You worried about public shaming yet 3 security tried to bully my husband. My husband who have a heart problem, who couldn't even fight. This place will close soon, not much people anymore. Even with jkenzo. 👎👎👎
Edit: really now? So rude. If you even read and understand for a minute, my husband didn't know he had it. He use it from work.we don't go around town with a knife. Duh. Also, there's less people than before, I've been to red room a couple times. And your "security" needs more training in being a professional. First, you should inform us that we'll never have the cutter back. We could've went back to our car and left it there. Second, your joke of a security assured us that we'll have it back on our way out. But when we asked for it, they don't know where it is, then they claim "we shouldn't have brought a knife, call police if you want your cutter back. I didn't have a drop of alcohol in me and my husband had 2 rum and coke. 3rd, it's private property that you should return. 4th, your business is not gonna last because you guys are rude, unprofessional and shady. Did you go to school just to be rude to customers? Get your story straight first. The cutter, we can buy, but the way you guys lied and tried to intimidate my husband is what we're upset about. The owner seems nice though. Too bad his employees are not. maybe a courteous person should be in charge with replying to reviews. Not someone who starts with "really now" and claims to be a victim of "public...
