This was my first time trying We Grill at the foodcourt under the Canada Place building. It was luch time on a working day and I ordered chicken curry with rice. They said I will have choice of sauce when it will be prepared in front of me but they just brought me a bowl from inside without anyone asking me about the sauce. The guy at the counter seemed a good salesman but wasn't really interested in me afterwards as he was busy collecting money from other customers. So I had to be happy with what I got. I asked them to make it a bit spicy and they just sprinkled chilly powered on top. To me, spicy isnt chilly alone, the whole mix of spices has to be enhanced. The chicken was smelly, didn't feel fresh and the bowl had more potatoes in it than chicken. Also, the chicken was dry from inside so I am sure it wasnt cooked in the curry. Pretty sure they got roasted chicken from somewhere and threw some pieces in the curry that was prepared separately. Maybe the curry was also not made fresh in the restaurant. Also, I feel the quantity was too less for a meal that costed $16+ taxes. All in all, the concept of serving freshly prepared meals is good but what you put into it also has to be fresh. Maybe it's just this item that I ordered was like this, and not others. So my review is for the item that I ordered and that experience...
Read moreThe thing that pisses me off about this location is that, depending on the employee, they would pressure you to buy their food claiming it’s good, or they would insert themselves into small talk to lure you in to try their food. I was curious and wanted to give this business a chance especially seeing many mixed reviews about this business.
Out of curiosity, I tried number 1, the chicken teriyaki meal. After receiving my order, I was quite displeased of the overall quality, hence the price tag was off putting. The sauce was way too sweet to my liking, the vegetables tasted like the bare minimum, and the chicken itself has no authentic juicy flavor to it at all. For $16, this feels like a scam and totally not worth the money for such a low quality product serving.
I would rather go to Edo who serves a meal just like this and a few dollars cheaper, but the overall quality is worth it and much more tastier in value.
Please do not go to this location. You don’t wanna deal with those who will pressure you into thinking their food is...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at We Grill, located in the Waterfront Center Food Court near the Pinnacle Harbourfront Vancouver. We Grill specializes in freshly made veggie samosas, and they are absolutely delicious.
The person working at the We Grill stall was friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant dining experience. I had the opportunity to try their veggie samosas, which were crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful mixture of potatoes and spices on the inside. They were simply amazing and left me wanting more.
I also had the chance to taste their fries, which were equally as delicious as the samosas. They were crispy and perfectly seasoned, making for a great side dish to the samosas.
Overall, I would highly recommend We Grill to anyone looking for tasty and authentic Indian cuisine in Vancouver. The freshly made veggie samosas and fries are a must-try, and the friendly staff make for a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Thank you to the staff at We Grill for...
