Nails Off 8th — Local services in Vancouver

Literally I came here as a loyal customer who knew my nail tech for more than five years and then my recent visit showed me how greedy they can be and how disrespectful to client timing they are. My appointment at 6pm so I went early at 5:30 and then was asked to come back at 6:00 pm and so I came back 5:57 only to find that she was doing someone else’s nails who was basically a walk in. I wasn’t notified at all that my nails appointment would be later than 6 because otherwise I wouldn’t have come. So I still waited until 6:27 and every-time I ask she would say I’m just putting a nail polish on and then I happen to find that the clock is ticking and this lady sitting is want in ha design and she was more than okay with doing it. Like what type of customer service is this??!! I’ve been a loyal customer may be I was late twice or three times in the past seven years but really and then I said I’m leaving to go home and all I got is okay bye like what type of disrespect is that ?! Honestly I don’t recommend this place anymore mostly with Jasmine. I thought they were good but I do not believe they are unfortunately. True colours come out when it’s about being greedy and disrespectful in a salon...

It was my first time coming to this new nail salon and I was not disappointed!!! My friend and I wanted to go get our nails done, and came across this cute little salon near us so we decided to check it out. The minute we walked in the staff were so friendly and attentive! We were brought to wash our hands before starting and the buffer and file they use for us were brand new, so no bacteria would be spread. The place was very clean and everything they used was either brand new or had been fully sanitized, which I really appreciate with covid right now. Jasmine was so friendly and paid close attention to detail. She made sure that the colors and designs she was using for our nails were what we wanted, and made us feel very comfortable! The designs came out so beautifully, I think these are the prettiest nails I've ever had. The nails were also built very well and were attached properly, and none of them broke or chipped! I first visited Nails off 8th with a group of girlfriends and ever since I can’t go anywhere else! Jasmine is the best and I have been seeing her every month since the girls weekend. I usually get an acrylic fill, but first began with purchasing a full set. She’s helped me build my nail strength and nail length to be larger and stronger than it’s ever been!! Besides this, what makes me keep going back is her shaping and painting skills. Acrylics can so often look ill-fitting and unflattering but she shapes them so nicely that they always look elegant. Every time I ask for a design it turns out better than the reference image. Beyond the great nails, the salon is always beautifully maintained and employees are always kind and helpful. I have never had a mediocre experience in any of my regular visits over the past 8 months!
