I get it that more people want to try this than they can make the drinks. So yes, if you want it when everyone else wants it, you need to wait. I get that.

What I don't get is why they run out of the brown sugar mixture but the employees putter about for 20 minutes twiddling their thumbs, chatting with each other, and playing with the straws. It's the worst display of incompetence and lack work ethic I have ever seen, to the point where I am in disbelief. If you have to try it, fine, but be prepared to wait an extra 20 minutes because of unmotivated, and apparently unintelligent employees who can't take the initiative to make the next batch when the previous batch has run out. Some reviewers say they run out of bubbles. I don't even know how to express how stupid it is for a bubble tea place not to keep up with making their bubbles. Don't pretend like you didn't know you were going to have so many orders!

My cats have more motivation, and a highshool student can figure out how to run this better than this. If you are the owner, get a new manager and a new set of employees. They are wasting wages and killing your goodwill. If you are deliberately slowing down production to build up the line and hype, shame on you.

I don't have enough words to express the contempt I feel for how this business is run.

BTW, the "flagship drink" is so-so. I might pay $4.00 for it with no wait time. $6.50 + all this aggravation watching people waste everyone's time?...

Horrible Service! Long wait, poor service, do not go!! I came here because a friend wanted to come check out this Taiwanese bubble tea chain. Since my friend loves bubble tea, when I was about to pay, I decided to get the membership card. But wait, why do customers need to pay to be a member whereas many other bubble tea chains membership cost is $0 (OneZo, The Alley). The membership at XFT cost $5. Is the membership card worth it? No. Anyhow, since this is a dear friend of mine, I decided to get it. Upon activating the membership card, the staff messed up, inputted the wrong $ and forced us to pay more than what we had asked for. They told us they put in the wrong amount and they want us to pay more to get the refund? This doesn't make sense.... We ended up waiting at the store for an hour for them to figure out this issue. However, in the end, they still did not resolve this issue. They claimed that they have refunded me but they couldn't show any proof. They never gave me the drinks as well, how disappointing!!!! We went to the store for nothing ... They had lots of staff working but none of them knew what to do. They didn't even apologize for their own mistakes. The management needs to do something about this. I will never go back to this place. Why got to this one when other places are so much better (The Alley or any other XFT locations). Hopefully the other locations won't be as bad...

Went with my sister, but didn't know it was the grand opening day so we had to wait about 40 minutes just to place an order. I ordered the flagship product Brown Sugar Pearl Milk and she ordered the Brown Sugar Pearl Black Tea Latte. The Brown Sugar Pearl Milk was a little disappointing after all the hype. The pearls are NOT made of brown sugar. The pearls are actually just regular pearls that have been mixed with melted brown sugar which is nothing special. The drink certainly looks like it has all the bells and whistles since you even get a layer of cheese foam on top, but it wasn't for me. Yes, it uses real milk and not powder, but you are essentially paying $6.50 for milk with regular pearls and cheese foam. This os the same for the Brown Sugar Pearl Black Tea Latte. You get real milk, tea, and regular pearls for $6.50 with no added sugar. At which point you might as well go somewhere else for bubble tea since the size of the cups here are smaller than the usual sizes you see. If anyone is tempted to try the flagship product, I would instead recommened OneZo's dirty tea series as the pearls in those are real brown sugar pearls and...

First time going to Xing Fu Tang in years and it didn’t dissapoint! They have two milk alternatives: buckwheat and vitasoy. We happened to try both! 😂 I got the herbal jelly and pearls with buckwheat milk! It tasted really good, the pearls were amazing - loved the brown sugar flavour and how chewy they were. The buckwheat milk balanced the sweetness and the jelly just added texture. I’ve never had this with real milk, but I couldn’t really taste the buckwheat or anything. Although I loved this drink, I think a larger side would be too much , there’s a lot happening in this drink. 😅 My friend got the vitasoy rose tea with pearls and she enjoyed it as well. Said it tasted really floral and couldn’t tell it was soy milk. Wasn’t too sweet either and once again, loved the pearls! 🌹 Overall, the drinks here are good, pearls are a must-try! It’s also a good place for milk alternatives. I will say that it’s definitely more on the pricey side, so if you’re price conscious, maybe not the best go to place. Otherwise, definitely check this place out!

Xing Fu Tang is a popular bubble tea place that is well known for its signature brown sugar milk "tea". Like ramen joints, they also have 10 other unique (and not unique) flavors along with two flavors of soft serving icecream- yum! We came right at opening and they seemed a bit unready. It was already 12pm. We were the first customers. I heard about XFT being expensive and having the title "Taiwanese Starbucks". Now k know why. With this expensive bubble tea, whoever who comes here will be bankrupt! $15 for two bubbles teas?! Someone commented you can buy a restaurant appie. I also noticed that there were no Taiwanese people on sight. This is just a personal preference, but I was a bit sad that nobody from Taiwan was at one of the most famous franchises representing home. I like this place, and the staff are not half bad, but it's way too expensive! The container isn't even the size of my fist. I'd rather go directly to Taiwan. It's waaaaay cheaper there. $1 for one BBT? Yes please. 🛬🇹🇼

Heard that it was more than 30 minutes lining for the first few weeks after grand opening. Went today March 11 afternoon, no line up for ordering nor picking up drinks. Ordered hot Brown Pearl Sugar milk tea 幸福黑糖珍珠厚奶茶 Unlike regular bubble tea, their "brown sugar pearl" has been stir fried with brown sugar before serving, was soft and chewy. Sweetness level was perfect, however the milk tea wasn't strong enough. Probably due to the clear plastic serving cup, the drink was served luke warm, whick was good for the cup and the pearl, but not for the taste of milk tea. Next time, will try their flagship product "Brown Sugar pearl milk 焰遇幸福黑糖鮮奶" - with a layer of foam milk topped with brown sugar melted by hand-held torch. Bonus: Remember to try the XingFuTang Pray and Draw divination sticks Stand 幸福堂求籤竹筒 for fun. Some kind of interpretation of omens. How to play: Pick a stick from the sticks stand, look at the number, then find the related number oracle in the numbered drawer.
