On my second visit, I ordered the Chef's Special Lamb with plain naan, and a garlic naan for lunch. The portion size was small, there only a few tiny pieces of lamb. The flavor was less spiced than I anticipated. This was my second time ordering from this restaurant, and was the first meal of the day. After eating, I had stomach issues right away. I barely got any sleep that night, and continued to experience stomach problems the days following. I am pretty certain that I got food poisoning from Monsoon Curry. At this moment, it's unlikely that I will ever return again.

As of Aug 2025, one of the best butter chickens I've ever had in Vancouver. Unlike most other indian restaurants, the Butter Chicken gravy was nice and thick with good flavor. It's better than any buffet line.

The room for improvements are that the gravy could be sweeter, uses chicken thighs instead of breast, and grill it in the tandoori oven first because there was no tandoori flavor in my chicken pieces. The breast meat was slightly on the chewy side hence why I said chicken thighs would be better (closer to the original recipe in India).

This will be my go-to from now on. Nicely done! I hope you guys can keep up with the quality, and not cut back on quality like most other...

Outstanding Service and Delicious Food!

We had an amazing dining experience—exceptional service paired with genuinely good food. The fish pakora was probably the best we’ve had in the area—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. (Not orange)

One thing we really appreciated was how well-balanced the food was—not overly salty, just right. We’re used to eating very hot and spicy dishes, so it was thoughtful of our server to inform us that their spice levels are adjusted for Western palates. Even the highest spice level wasn’t quite spicy enough for us, but honestly, I’m glad—we got the perfect heat level without going overboard. My body will definitely thank me for not overloading it with chili!

The overall vibe was warm and welcoming. It was great to see the staff in such high spirits, and their energy made the experience even better. As we were leaving, everyone cheerfully shouted goodbye—it left us smiling and ended the meal on a fun note.

Definitely a memorable food day and a spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend for a relaxed and flavorful meal out!

Update: we have been there already 3 times and it is one of the...

Went here after reading the reviews. Not exactly what we thought it would be. Hard to find parking, average food, but good ambience. There was also only one waitress on the floor, but things were fairly fast and she did keep checking on us which was great. Kudos to the waitress for sure. Bought a chicken Biriyani and the chicken lunch combo. The combo seems to be good value for money and the naan was good. The presentation is very good. The chicken Biriyani was not flavorful at all just some colored rice with a lot of different spices. Chicken in biriyani was not flavorful at all. For the chicken combo, took the chicken tikka masala option and it was more of a sweet & sour flavor than the usual chicken tikka masala and loaded with veggies than chicken. The combo also comes with naan and a mediocre amount of rice. But for the price, its worth it I guess. The various spices might impress people who are not used to authentic Indian dishes and the presentation was better than your average Indian restaurant. Other than that, there is not much ...

I reserve a table for two for dinner online. The restaurant or server called me to confirm the reservation. I went here for dinner with my friend on a weeknight. The restaurant was not too busy but I saw they had takeout and still got some customers who dined in here. Customer service was excellent. They greeted us and introduced their menus or dishes to us as we were not familiar with the Indian food. We ordered dinner for two. It was such a great deal for us. We could try vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. The food came out quickly. The dinner included appetizers and three different dishes that came with Indian rice and naan. We asked to upgrade the naan to a garlic flavour. All of the dishes were great. Each dish had a unique flavour, special sauce and spices. We loved them all. Servers always paid attention to us or our table making sure if we needed water or if we wanted anything else. We would like to come back and try other dishes. We would recommend this restaurant to others for sure.

One of the best Indian restaurants in town. When you order a curry dish, it comes with with rice or naan already! You can choose your own spcie level, but it's pretty mild even if you go for hot. Lunch special is even a better deal that makes this place stand out. For ~$13-14, you can pick ANY curry from a long long list of curries to choose from. Most places would NOT give you this option and you typically get the default option which is usually butter chicken or some kind of veggie curry. This place really let's you pick out your own curry to go with your lunch special, which comes with your choice of curry, plus 2 sides, rice and naan! Talk about a great, unique deal!! Picked the Spinach lamb, which was full of flavor, richness, and aroma. Ordered an extra Paratha, which was nice and crispy. Some free street parking on Cambie street, either across from Starbucks, or in front of the Church diagonally across the street.
