Honestly, I wasn’t planning on posting this, but after my experience with an older lady employee on July 14 2025, this had to be done. My girlfriend and I are regulars. I usually order pick-up through the app and I’d like to think I’m super polite with the staff. However, a day ago we ordered and found a living spider crawling around in her burger. I contact customer support and they deeply apologize and say we’ll get a refund. The next day we get an email from the Vaudreuil-Dorion location confirming this. Kevin was nice and straight to the point about a refund. Bring the receipt, show it to someone, and we’ll get a refund. It was going smoothly until an older lady employee was issuing the refund and then basically took no accountability. She says in all her time working here that this has never happened. She then says, and I quote “You never know where the spider came from. Maybe it was from your car.” We live less than a 5 minute drive away. The bag is always kept on our lap, not in the back seat, not even on the passenger seat. The spider was on the patty, inside of the bun. The hamburger is wrapped fairly tight too, then the bag is stapled. According to her there’s 0 chance of a spider’s crawling in their food. She then asked if we ate the food. No, we did not eat our food. I just shook my head at that comment and walked away with my refund.
Sorry, but the lack of taking accountability and ability to soft skill was crazy. All she needed to do was apologize, say she’s deeply sorry, and give a refund. Instead, she went full defensive. Read moreI was the only car at the drive-thru to get a burger and fries and it took 25 minutes, when I received it it was cold. Figured I'd give it the benefit of the doubt so I went back today. I ordered a double Angus with cheese no bun with mustard relish and lettuce. I received a double Angus with no bun and it was cold and no cheese and a tiny little bit of topping in the center, the fries were also cold. I did not think to ask for a knife, fork and napkins but I've never had to in the past as they usually give it with a burger that has no bun. I went in to exchange on foot of course after going through the drive-thru and they fixed the problem, of course when I came out my fries were ice cold and when I opened the box there was a mountain of condiments on the burger so much though that I couldn't even find the burger and it was only warm. Don't get me wrong, I like Harvey's food but I won't eat at the vaudreuil Harveys anymore, the staff is very young and just doesn't seem to care at all, I apologize if I've inconvenienced them. I've noticed that at the Harveys on St Charles in the West Island they're much more attentive to their customers, I've eaten there many times, you'll notice it is an older and friendly staff. April 2022 Yup, some people never learn, I went back again and it was burnt, cold and they even put the cheese in a separate wrapper.....I don't get it!!!!! Read moreI feel sorry for the staff that work there. Whoever owns that franchise has zero clue on how much pressure the staff are under. I ordered lunch using the app and was told it would be ready at 12:30. I arrived to see a queue out the door and several cars in the drive-thru. My order required that I pick up my order via the drive-thru. After 30 minutes, I eventually arrived at the window but no one came to the window. It remained closed. After another 20 minutes, a young lady came to the window and when I told her that I was here to pick up an order that was supposed to be ready 30 minutes ago, she said it's not ready and I would need to come inside and wait another 30 minutes. She apologized and told me that they were 2 people and one of them is a new employee. In total, I wasted almost an hour to be told to wait another 30 minutes for a $12 order. Where is the franchise owner for this location? Why is he or she not working to remedy this? Why have they left 2 young employees to run a business that clearly they are not capable of running efficiently.
