SKIP THIS PLACE I had a terrible experience at Caspi Restaurant and Lounge in Toronto. We ordered three shishas along with some snacks and food. Unfortunately, by accident, I knocked over one of the shishas, and only the head fell to the floor. This kind of thing happens sometimes, and at most places, it’s treated as a minor accident. I asked to get a new head (which typically costs $12-$15), and asked them to replace it. However, they insisted that they dont sell a new head to customers and I had to get a completely new shisha and pay an extra $30 instead.(at the end i paid for 4 shisha instead of 3)
Reluctantly, I accepted their policy and apologized for the accident. They gave me a new shisha, but what happened next was even more ridiculous. About 30 minutes later, I asked for some fresh coal, and they told me I would be charged for it! I’VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE!!!!!! I’ve never heard of a place charging extra for coal—especially after you’re already paying for a new shisha. Most places provide unlimited coal as part of the service.
This place is a money grab. If you’re looking for a good shisha lounge in Toronto, skip this one. There are plenty of better options where you won’t be nickel-and-dimed for every little thing. I definitely won’t be...
Read moreWe came here on a Monday evening, so the place was not busy. We ordered shisha, tea, and pide. The shisha and tea came on time. But the pide still did not arrive 40 mins after we placed the order. When we initially asked how long it would take, the server replied, "are you hungry". I found that very offensive, but remained calm and waited longer. 10 mins later, the pide still did not arrive, so we decided to cancel the order, at which point the server said, "please don't do this". Note to any server/staff: never ask a customer if they are hungry, and don't force anyone to stay back or make a purchase.
Response to owner's reply: You have no right to bring my religion and looks into this and call me a liar. It shows how poor your customer service is. For your record either you or your server is lying. I was in the restaurant for about 50 minutes. 10 minutes away from you there is a restaurant called Sofra Istanbul, they serve freshly baked pide in 10 to 15 minutes. It's just that they know what they are doing.
Also, I rarely write reviews. This is my first negative...
Read moreJust had a real bad experience with ''Baku life'' restaurant. Ordered 2 main dishes ( lamb kebab with mashed potatoes and beef kebab with fries ) , dushbere, mix pide and chichen salad. Upon delivery, we noticed that we missing the beef kebab with the fries, called the delivery guy and he told us that 's all he was provided with at the restaurant. Called the restaurant, while unpacking the other stuff. Whoever answered the call, was very rude. He basically blame it on us and said and I quote : ''this is your problem''. No: sorry for your experience, not even: no problem, we will send you another meal or God forbid a refund for whatever we didn't get. Nothing. This is your problem. Now. The main dish that we had, lamb kebab, had 5!!! Small lamb pieces, the mashed potatoes was full with lemon😔 is it even a thing??? The chicken salad had dry chicken pieces and lettuce, nothing like in the pictures. The soup was like a tea with some little dumplings inside. Pide was the only edible thing. We ended up with horrible experience...
