I recently dined at Thai Bamboo, the restaurant was busy at lunch but still were served very quick due to the excellent service. Great people and great location plenty of parking. The culinary adventure extended to the appetizers, where the Fresh Spring Rolls stood out. Encased in delicate rice paper, the medley of crisp vegetables and herbs provided a refreshing prelude to the main courses. The accompanying dipping sauce added a subtle zest, enhancing the natural freshness of the ingredients. Throughout the meal, the staff exhibited a genuine warmth and professionalism, attentively catering to our needs without intruding upon our dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations bespoke a deep-seated passion for their craft and a commitment to customer satisfaction. In conclusion, Thai Bamboo encapsulates the essence of traditional Thai and Laotian cuisine, delivered with remarkable service in a congenial atmosphere. Whether one is seeking a quick yet fulfilling lunch or a leisurely dinner, this establishment promises a gastronomic experience that lingers pleasantly in memory. The combination of flavorful dishes, efficient service, and convenient location with ample parking renders Thai Bamboo a commendable choice for aficionados of Southeast Asian fare.

Never come back again !!!! I would not even give any stars. Last night, 2 of us went here for dinner, we were not only treated badly, the food was also very terrible. It was not my first time here, I used to come here quite often in the past, but last night experience was the worst for me. First, when we sat down, nobody was there to give us water, when we started to order, I told the server that “no peanuts in every single dish”, he confirmed twice, we order an appetizer (Thai style papaya salad), pad Thai and spicy tamarind beef, I remember they always asked how spicy I want, this time no, he didn’t specify the spicy level. Before ending taking order, he asked “any drinks?” Without the drink menu, so we sai thai lemon ice tea, it came out as Thai milk tea. Pad Thai came first, no spicy, we asked for extra spicy and they gave us chilly oil on the side, the beef also was not spicy even though it said spicy on the menu. And lastly when we already finished our food, papaya salad appetizer came with full load of peanuts. Very disappointed! I feel like the staffs were hiding in the back and no one pays attention to details. We had to ask for every single thing like water, plates and forks, meanwhile the white couple beside us got things taken care of way better.

I never have any complaints for this Thai Bamboo for over years and years being a loyal customer! I suggest you guys should try the Nam Kao, it is a special fried rice with super crunchy fried rice bits mixes with raw fermented sour pork and shredded skins, with some green in it and served with dry chilli and a lot of peanuts. (Mine I can’t eat peanut so I ask them remove it for me). Believe me you will say it’s the best fried rice ever in your life, everything - all the ingredients just go together perfectly. Their “special smell” (crab and shrimp paste) papaya salad also can’t be skipped. It is not for everyone since its smell but I guess with Vietnamese people and Thai or Laos, they’ll love it but just think twice when they ask you for the spicy level. The extra spicy level in Thai Bamboo is not a joke, it will make you cry but also can’t stop eating lol I ordered Pineapple curry, I rate it 8/10 If you look close enough in the picture, you’ll see I finished 2 of the Thai ice tea. A small tip that I have for you guys is order a little extra sweet so it will be perfect MUST TRY: their garlic chilli oil

Straight to the point... Truthfully, food was decent. However the service? Wow. The worst I have EVER experienced. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the last year and a half but they've been closed unfortunately every time I remembered to check them out. I was really happy to see that they were open today and went into try it. However, my experience was ruined by the server. I asked what the sauce of pad thai was (bc some restaurants make it out of fish sauce, some ppl tamarind, etc. And I was really craving the tamarind flavor). She says, no I don't know. Then just gives me the disgusted look. So then I ask. Do you mind asking the kitchen? Then she goes, what. Are you allergic to anything? And I said no. She then just stood there in front of me. So I asked again. Can you please check in the kitchen. She rolls her eyes, doesn't respond and then walks into the kitchen. She comes back like 3 to 5 mins later to say it's made out of tomato sauce... so I was not interested in having that. However, after that, even though I decided to go with the fresh rolls and my friend ordered a full dish, he got his food first, then mine came much later. She stopped serving me, got another waitress to. They didn't fill up my water, and it was just not the best experience. I really was starting to get a bit annoyed but tried to keep my cool, and walked out. This was honestly so upsetting to experience bc the food was pretty good. However, it's not SUPER amazing for me to go again despite the rude service....

I'll give these guys four stars...not because they are that good every day.

They're not.

They're sloppy and inconsistent.

But when they're on, they are the best Thai Restaurant I've been to.

It requires patience to be a fan of theirs.

When I first started coming...I think it was ten years or more, they were excellent, really great. Then, soon after they had a down period...

...followed by a Golden Age, when their stuff was so good and so unique and so right there in the sweet spot.

Then they slid. The ownership changed. I don't know the story of that. The new manager is capable, but uninspired. She's a bit of a mother figure to the other staff members.

Their staff are a bit better than before.

There was a time when, if you were to ask the head waitress to give you an itemized receipt, she'd look at you like you were barmy and bray out an idiotic laugh.

I still go there, and their ups and downs are within a range I would characterize as Upper Mediocre, except their mediocrity is still quite unique mediocrity.

Most Thai restaurants on their best days never get near these guys' slop bucket.

They, Thai Bamboo, are not followers of any formula the other Thai restaurateurs seem to have collectively signed on to.

It's usually not too busy in the evenings. Lunch is impossible on Thursday and Fridays, no piece of cake the rest...
