Dalisay Filipino Food — Restaurant in Vaughan

Despite the area being quite populated with Filipino diaspora, the selections of authentic Filipino comfort food are severely lacking. Dalisay has a varied selection of classics and some westernized dishes. The seafood is always tasty and doesn't have that frozen fish bite. The Halo is underwhelming, however, and this place does charge significantly more for the more popular dishes. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and helped guide steer me towards a sampling of foods on my first visit.

The prices felt overcharged for a rather small medium side order and it did not taste good. The sauce tasted almost like it was on the verge of being spoiled. The pork rinds I also purchased came wrapped in clear plastic wrap. When i took it off i understood why, the bottom of the container itself was damaged and had a hold, big enough that i lost a quarter ofnit to the ground. A warning or even a note would have been greatly appreciated seeing as it cost $15. It was a disappointing time. The old lady is so irritating...its like a broken cd kept telling me to just make my own rice cake its cheaper ...when i change my mind to buy it.She is annoying....i will tell friends that better to buy at the other filipino store across the street(oriental)..they are more nicer.Change your attitude old lady...if you want your costumers keep coming back to your store...geeez.Not going to enter that...
