EGO Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Vaughan

My friend and I decided to experience the service and feel the vibe of this new Vaughan restaurant. It is a bit hard to write this review because our friends are directly and indirectly involved in the operations, but I will try to be as objective as possible.

I will start with a culinary experience. That was Amazing. I loved it! New flavors and unexpected combinations. My friend ordered oysters, and in her opinion, they were super fresh and delicious! We shared Mezze - a collection of spreads ( eggplants, Matbucha, Hummus & Labaneh) - it took us to the shore of the Mediterranean sea, and we just couldn't stop eating it. Burrata salad - what a treasure! The combination of creamy cheese and beets was fantastic! Bravo!

Music was great - loved the volume and overall theme. International journey with melodies all around the world. Sound level was also comfortable to talk and to dance!

Loved the cocktails. The Life is a beach is something!

I see that there more can be done in some areas, but I give credit to the place since it is not even a month old. I am sure owners are looking into some relevant comments and make all necessary adjustments.

I learned that soon the patio is going to be open, very excited to spend there some summer evening!

The cuisine at EGO is exceptional, with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. I sampled several dishes, and each one was expertly crafted and full of flavor. I highly recommend Wagyu Steak at EGO Restaurant & Bar, because it was simply incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth, while the garlic confit and chimichurri added the perfect balance of flavor. The Maldon salt on top was the cherry on the cake, bringing out the flavors even more.💫💫💫 The cocktails were also outstanding and complemented the food beautifully.🥂 I was impressed by bartenders, they were so friendly and knowledgeable.

But what really sets EGO apart is the entertainment. From live music to DJs, there's always something happening to keep the party going. I had a blast dancing and enjoying the music all night long.💃💃💃

Horrible experience. I invited some friends from downtown to visit this new place in the neighbourhood. It was our first time there and the last! We arrived at 8:30 for dinner and drinks. The food was decent and the service was good initially. Our bill was $480 for a party of 4 (before tip), which is fine for the amount ordered. The issue began around 11 when the waiter told us repeatedly that we must continue ordering drinks so we don’t get “kicked out” as per the direction of the owner. I finally approached the owner to discuss the situation, just to get a rude explanation about “other people ordering not enough and taking up tables”…after back and forth discussion, she finally agreed that we ordered “sufficiently” and that we won’t be bothered any longer. It was too late. Absolutely disgusting. I don’t care if you spend $50 or $500, you don’t treat customers with threats and disrespect like this. Completely unacceptable behaviour and ignorant on both a personal and business...
