If I could give less than 1 star, I would. They have gluten free options on the menu and I have severe celiac disease so I called the franchise first to ask about the precautions they take with gluten allergies. The man I spoke with on the phone explained that they would heat the burrito up on a separate part of the grill and ensured me that there would be no cross contamination. He really sounded like he knew what he was talking about so I went into the restaurant so I could see if they would make it properly. Everything was going fine and they did use ingredients that had not been opened yet, which was good. However, when they heated up my burrito, they put it right on top of a spot where there had just been a white wheat burrito. Clearly, this showed me they did not know what the term "cross-contamination" meant and displayed their incompetence. I did not eat the burrito, as I have severe reactions to gluten and did not want to risk it. Next time, if an employee is not sure how to handle an allergy, then they should not speak as if they do. Also, if the restaurant wants to claim they are celiac safe, then the employees should be trained appropriately. Very...
Read moreFood was delicious but the service was pathetic. The Indian girl had no clue what she was doing. I mean I am from Indian origin too so not being too harsh, but one can expect basic customer service like the greetings, some apologies if she has to divert her attention to something else or extra cutlery or tissue right? what are the different options available for topics, sauces etc etc also. I had to tell her every single thing like what's that sauce that's hidden, chips were available but not fried so she right away insisted us to not get it. I had to say we'll wait you do your work. We wanted more sauces and some extra topics and she was so reluctant to add any of it. I don't how these people migrate to Canada with almost zero communication skills. Like most Canadians do, we thanked her multiple time but she did not even look at us back every single time let alone smiling or giving it back and all that while we were the only one in the store and she was not preparing any pickup orders also. Pathetic service, but we knew how to prepare good bowl so yes, the food...
Read moreWhoever the man with the dark facial hair that works here (I'm assuming he's the manager) is the most uncomfortable level of a micromanager. His staff looks horrified of him. He stands with his hands on his hips and watches them work and comments on as many things as he can. I was uncomfortable as a customer and cannot imagine how uncomfortable the girls that work there feel. They look scared and stressed. They rush to do everything and make sure they put very small quantities of everything while looking over their shoulder to see if he's staring them down. He acts overly fake nice to customers. It's a really bad experience and I can't go back there for that reason alone. The poor girls rush so much that my tofu was so quickly cooked that it was COLD and the noodles were dry and the burrito was overall cold even though they grilled it for a little while. Whoever reads this, please touch base with the staff here. This place can run so much better with...
