My friend and i attempted to take our husbands here for Father’s Day lunch on June 16,2024 however it was a horrible experience service wise from the management level. We arrived at the rest At approximately 1:55pm and we were seated by a lovely female server, she was very knowledgeable and helped us make our selections. She kindly reviewed our order and put into the kitchen and our wait began…. She quickly returned with our drinks and water as we enjoyed our conversation amongst ourselves. We noticed that another family who came in at the same time enjoyed there meal and left also another family who came after us were enjoying their meals. Eventually another female server came over to our table and informed us that their was a problem I. The kitchen and our orders would be out shortly which didn’t happen. After an hour and 10 minutes a man who wasn’t in uniform perhaps he was the manager life the other two female servers came out with main courses for us he placed them on the table infront of us quickly and said he will be right back with a side of rice as it was missing from my friends order. We quickly realized that the orders were wrong my friend and her husband order a platter ($77) that had shrimp, crab, a lobster tail and mussels which they requested that the mussel be substituted with additional shrimp (no cost for the substitution)and another lobster tail added ($22)they asked for house sauce extra spicy. Turns out the platter was missing the additional shrimp. My husband and i ordered the same platter ($77) no substitution with an additional crab cluster ($25) with Cajun sauce medium heat that was missing. We advised the man who appeared to be the manager of the issue instead of listening so he could understand the issue he kept interrupting which was frustrating we eventually got him to listen and understand what the issues where and said he will fix it immediately and left our table with the plates only to return with them even more messed up!!! And couldn’t understand how or why like seriously sir?!? We so annoyed and pissed he started saying he would apply a discount by this point all we had were 3 ginger ales and a hot water and it was now 4:10pm!!!! He said that he will advise the manager but he’s just at the back and it would be a few mins for him to come speak with us, which never happened by this time it’s 4:20pm. We end up paying $7.50 for 3 ginger ales and walking out pissed off because we came all the way from Barrie beca Of the positive reviews of this place we understand it’s a new establishment but my god the service was horrible!! I would hope that management reads this review and makes a choice to contact me to discuss this as this shouldn’t have happened. Hopefully nobody else has to have an...
Read moreMy friend and I were excited to try this seafood house, as we had heard so much about their lobster boil. We had heard that the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. However, our experience was far from what we had expected. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a hostess who seemed to be in a bad mood. She took our reservation and showed us to our table, which was located in a dimly lit corner of the restaurant. We were disappointed to find that the table was not clean, and there were crumbs and stains on the surface. We waited for about 30 minutes before our food arrived. We were surprised to find that the lobster boil was not as delicious as we had expected. The lobster was overcooked, and the sauce was too salty. The vegetables that accompanied the lobster were also undercooked, and the overall flavor of the dish was bland. The service was also not up to par. The waitstaff seemed to be in a hurry, and they did not pay much attention to our needs. We had to wait for a long time to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was not worth the wait. The only washroom in the restaurant was also not clean, and it was difficult to find a place to wash our hands. This was a major inconvenience, especially since we were eating seafood, which can be prone to contamination. To make matters worse, the restaurant enforced a service fee of 18%, even though we had to pay 13% for tax. This meant that we had to pay an additional 100 dollars for the service fee, which was a major disappointment. Overall, our experience at Lobster Boil Seafood House was a major letdown. The food was not as delicious as we had expected, the service was poor, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and unsatisfied, and we will not be returning anytime soon. This meaning I would not recommend Lobster Boil Seafood House to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable seafood experience. There are many other seafood restaurants in the area that offer better food, service, and cleanliness. I would advise potential customers to do their research and choose a different establishment for their seafood...
Read moreOn Saturday March 15th myself and my friend Shar decided to go out for dinner at Lobster Boil because of the exposure and the great reviews that we seen on Instagram. When I arrived at the restaurant, I noticed that we were seated in the center of the restaurant, I asked Shar were there no other seats when she arrived? She stated "yes, there was and I asked if we could be moved to the side of the restaurant closer to the window because I came before everyone that you seated at the spots were I requested to sit" The server's response was there is a party of three coming, when in fact it was only a party of two. When the server came over once I arrived, she served me water and as she was serving me the water, I asked her if we could be seated elsewhere? Because there was an empty table at the back of the restaurant. She looked at me and did not answer my question, that's when I looked at Shar and said "did she just ignore me?" Shar answered "yes". I was very upset because we were both ignored on two different occasions this is when we decided to leave the restaurant. For my first dine in experience at Lobster boil without having a meal was very upsetting because we both came from different ends of the city. We were the only people of colour in the restaurant and I felt like this is why we were treated this way. When we were leaving no one asked us why we were leaving or if everything was okay. This was a clear indication to we weren't welcomed at Lobster Boil. I highly doubt that my review will change how the servers treat people of colour but I hope things change. This was my experience as a Black woman at this restaurant, I don't know about anyone else's but I hope this brings forth change and equal treatment to...
