My bf chose this restaurant for us to try because it’s very popular in Chinese communities. It is located independently in a “not so great looking plaza”. But again it stands still like a queen that she is, looking fancy 😊 that was the first impression. The food is indisputably phenomenal; it’s so beautiful to look at. A feast. The decor has traditional unique feel to it. The cherry on top is the price. I think it’s pretty good, compared to the portion. It’s HUGE.
Now it comes the service. And please don’t get me wrong, staff did an excellent job at giving the best service possible. We came at 8.30 PM and we ordered quite a lot of food. It was full on our table. Occasionally I inquired a staff (I only saw a female server around, other male servers were cleaning, hence not around) to give me napkins, or get more noodles (it’s charged 3.5 for extra fyi) and water etc. I also politely asked her to move the empty trays away so I could take more pics. She appeared grumpy, and stomped her feet away. At last she slammed the bottle of water on the table & gave me a slight look. After that she was not in the vicinity. But I was thankful because I think the male servers were more pleasant to deal with. I can understand it was a Friday and busy and going to close soon and she couldn’t wait to leave. But other staff members were going through the same issue too. On my side, I’m a customer and my purpose to come to the restaurant was to enjoy the restaurant food & service. I think it’s not fair to put all of those personal issues on customers.
I’m also a business owners of several businesses, which including national and international fast food franchise. If my staff behaves this way behind my back, I’ll lose all customers.
However, I’ll introduce my friends and family to come and enjoy the food. It’s truly fantastic option...

We came here at around 2 p.m. and a guy wearing a uniform took an order from us when the table next to us wanted to order too, therefore, I politely let that table make the order first. The server told me “Give me a second I will take my order later”. I was fine because I thought it was not too long BUT I WAS WRONG. He FORGOT my table and took an order from another table. IT’S UNACCEPTABLE. After a few minutes, the guy wearing a white hoodie took my order. I was observing the server didn’t remember what the customer ordered, they served food to the wrong table and had to go back to the kitchen and check.
At 2:40 I wasn’t patient anymore. There was nothing. I came to the bar and complained about the waiting time, a nice guy wearing a white hoodie explained to us and checked with the kitchen, and he apologized to us. BUT The thing is the guy who forgot our table acted like he didn’t know anything and he pretended he didn’t care. He let his co-worker explain and deal with customers on his behalf, which is a disorganized place when the manager didn’t assign tasks for everyone.
At 2:50 my appetizer came and at almost 3 p.m. the main dish came. It took an hour for two dishes and most of the customers left. We were full of angriness and couldn’t enjoy the food anymore. No one checked the food quality or checked if we were ok. Look what we ordered, is it difficult to make?
This is the first time I’ve left without tips. I don’t see any customer service here.
Thanks to the guy wearing a white hoodie, if I have the cash I will give it to him because he saved the service. At least he apologized....

Didn’t know what we wanted to eat. After hours of liberation, we finally agreed on Vietnamese. Found this place on google maps and it was rated fairly high. So we decided to try it out.
The place is buried behind a cheap looking strip mall. Super easy to miss u less you know exactly where to look.
We came early so it wasn’t too busy. We went in and instantly greeted by the wait staff with a warm friendly smile. The decor is pretty nice. There is a nice collection of vases on the wall which is impressive. The wait staff is super helpful. They recommended a few dishes that the restaurant is known for. But we ordered a large beef pho and a pork bun.
The pho bowl was somewhat large. But the amount of noodles as surprisingly disappointing. We were fishing around with our chopsticks to see how many clumps of noodles there were. The beef was somewhat too chewy for our liking. As we polished off the pho, we moved to the bun. There seemed to be more noodles in the bun, but not by much. The grilled pork didn’t seem “grilled”. It was missing the smoky flavour that we were accustomed to in any Vietnamese restaurant. And the pork was a bit too chewy as well. The meal was ok. But one point off for the disappointing meat. We would of taken another point for the portion size, but we didn’t want any left overs and gave them the point back.
All-in-all it was just an “ok” meal. The decor is super nice and the staff super friendly. The food is not bad but not overly wonderful either. Somewhere in the vicinity of better than middle-of-the-line.
