Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Vaughan

I usually don't write negative reviews unless I feel someone deserves one. I have never experience this type of behavior in Vaughan. I was introduce to osmos in brampton n loved it but when I come to this location the service is terriable. My family n I had a bad experience which the staff didnt care n felt to reveange. I dont know who the owner is but the staff on last night need to be proper train or let go. You never treat a customer with disrespect. I have previously worked in the fast food industry n this would not be allowed , the staff would be fire because its bad imgage for the restaurant. The staff last didnt take my order properly, sorry but i'm sure not if the guy is from indian backround but he spoke rude when I told him about my two orders. After when checking first order and being charged for a ceaser salad an extra $1when opening the container there was just lettuce. My family member whom was the first time trying the food went back requested the guy to fix it cause it wasn't a ceaser instead of offering another salad or giving us our money back, he started to argue with us even do my family member was pregnant. Looks like he doesn't no how to deal with customers. Instead what they did was so disrespectful n unprofessional. Since he refuse to we call the lady dont know if she was the manager but we explain the issue which we ended getting a very small salad. But it was worse when they told us that the restaurant was closing , when had asked originall asked them before ordering if they where close.which had been told no. While eating an Asian guy told us we had to leave than they proceed to turn the lights off. We had a pregnant n a person who was in craches n children. Tthe Indian guy had asked the Asian guy to disrespect us n proceed to laugh about it. Than my family member went back to tell them that they where wrong they had broken the rules. The Indian ignore her continued to count the money in front n while the doors where open. This so unprofessional and they dont respect women. I'm n never coming to the location ever again! I can see why...

Not a place you want to spend your money. The owner seems to have a hard time keeping up with the place.

1. Prices stated on the menu and what they actually charge you a different.
2. Don't mind the price increase if the quantity given meets the increase. By the looks of it, this place believes in increase price and reduced portions to maximize on profit.
3. Order 1 chicken on the rocks with fries and 2 chicken on the rocks, one with sauce on the side, the amount of sauce given on the side didn't meet what they put on by themselves, so showed it to them and asked for a little extra sauce and the guys asks me for 50 cents as extra charge. I paid the extra in the hopes that I could enjoy my meal.
4. The tray where the folks and knife are kept was dirty, I showed it to the guy on the counter and requested clean utensils, the dude, with his dirty hands pulls out extra utensils to give it to me. I ignore all of the above as I have had Osmows before, I knew the food would be worth it but oh well.
5. The food was stale, firstly the chicken on the rocks with fries, had maximum or 8-10 fries😱, I know coz I actually counted, and man they sauced it up so I would see it. The chicken on the rocks didn't taste like any other place, chicken stale, rice felt like 3 days old, moreover I got sick after eating here and I know it's their food as that's all I had all day. I guess the owner is having a hard time and in order to make ends meet they are pulling this. Sad and upset at a complete waste of time and money at this place.

This is my honest review, it doesn't mean that others haven't had a good experience, but...

With the expansion of the Osmow’s franchise I decided to try the restaurant and buy dinner for myself and my friend. We both ordered chicken on the rocks. Instead of shaving chicken from the spit I was surprised to see staff pulling prechopped chicken from a warmer nearby. I then noticed that the chicken that was on the spit wasn’t turning, was very undercooked and wasn’t being heated. In a sense I’m glad the chicken came from the warmer as at least it was cooked. But what we received was end of day chicken over yellow uncle ben’s rice with the entire thing saturated (I can’t overstate this....I mean every square inch was covered a quarter inch thick) in essentially fatty mayonnaise. I’m not sure what this special sauce is supposed to be....it was straight mayo. I had to attempt to scrape as much of this goo off the top before I could even try to eat the meal. As I tried to remove this ‘sauce’ I literally filled the top of the take out container with the stuff, and there was still so much left on the food since you can’t really remove a sauce from atop chopped chicken and rice. The chicken itself was extremely bland - basically just chopped cooked chicken thighs....no real seasoning.

I won’t be returning and won’t be recommending Osmow’s to anyone. I suggest you find any other restaurant featuring shawarma where they carve chicken from the spit to order and use authentic sauces that...
