Went for the lunch buffet. The food was good and was refilled several times. The salads were little more than lettuce with a couple tomatoes and boring sauce. Nothing special.
Staff were an issue. I waited around a bit being ignored by the people behind the bar until a young girl noticed me and helped me get seated. She turned out to be the greeter, hostess, server, table cleaner and person in charge of refilling the buffet. Everybody else just kinda wandered around with drinks or cell phones in their hands. It took about ten minutes to pay when I was done because the young girl was in the back out of sight getting a buffet refill and everybody else was ignoring me. I had to ask what looked like a delivery driver who was leaning on the wall twice to get me someone to help me pay. Seriously, if I'd had cash I would have put a sticky note on a $10 bill with a quarter and walked out.
My vote is fire everybody but the cook who made the good food and the young girl who was doing all the work. You're paying at least half a dozen people and that girl was the only one working. Give her a raise out of the money you save firing the useless workers who were on their phones and ignoring customers. It's a bad sign when customers have trouble paying because they're being ignored.
Update: Went again. Asked to pay to begin with this time. Nice server girl there again, she was as good as last time (some upscale restaurant should poach this girl -she's exactly what you want in a server). Read moreI experienced the worst possible service there ever!! My girlfriend and I walk in to be seated and nobody was there to seat us. Even though there were 3 employees sitting there on their iPhones to not even greet us or get the hostess!! I figured perhaps we will just seat ourselves, even though there was a sign saying please wait to be seated!! We found a booth and sat there for 15 mins but nobody came to take our order. We get back up and walk by the same lazy paki employees to see what's going on and still they didn't even acknowledge us. I see a take out window and figured we have to order from here. So we order at the take out window, pay for the order and sit back at our booth. Finally a waitress comes over to take our order but I tell her I've already ordered and payed and showed her my receipt. She informs me that we couldn't eat in because we ordered at the take-out window. I told her we waited here for 15 mins and the 3 lazy workers in the front area just ignored us. I wasn't sure how the ordering procedure worked but she insisted she was busy with other customers. When we got there, there was no other customers in the whole place!! Me and my girlfriend had to eat our pizzas in the car outside of the restaurant with the seagulls the parking lot!! At least the seagulls greeted us when we were there!! There was a seagull there with only 1 leg that we fed!! A 1 legged seagull had the effort to say hello!! Much more than I can say about this place!! Decided to take advantage of the buy any pizza and get an additional for $1 online promo. What an incredible deal! 2 greasy wheels, and a tasty dessert for under $40 in this economy? Get out of town! Haven’t seen a deal this good since Pizza Hut launched their buffet locations back in the summer of 92. Nevertheless, I tasted the nostalgia with every bite. From the extra cheese, to the rising crust, it was perfect. These pies rival even the most famous pizzerias in Italy.
Taste and value aside, the service at the concord location was exceptional. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a gracious smile. You can tell this location is managed by world class leaders. The teamwork displayed while showcasing elite hospitality was inspiring. You can tell the team has true passion for their art. People helping people - it’s powerful stuff.
Earlier today I logged into pizza huts website as a hungry potential customer. In present, I am writing to you now as a proud and loyal friend of the brand. Whichever promotion you decide to launch next - I will follow you into the fire. I look forward in growing this relationship together, and creating more memories just like today that will last a lifetime.
