I went to eat at DQ since my daughter had a dinner to attend and I didn’t want to go back to the hotel. Id been craving a banana split for a while and since DQ is the only joint that makes it, I stopped at the closest one.
This place was kind of busy, it was near closing time. I got the split then decided to get something savoury. I opted for the chicken strip meal with onion rings instead of fries.
I’ve always liked. DQ’s burgers, chicken strips and onion rings. These did not disappoint. They were as savoury as ever.
The split was massive!!! At least for me. The unfortunate thing is that the banana was still frozen so it made eating it, kind of difficult. Still, I finished everything and ended up being so full, I didn’t eat until around 1130 the next day.
The service was ok. I found everything to be pretty expensive, it cost me $26.00 without a drink! A small drink would have cost me over $4.00!!!!!
Anyway, I ate and enjoyed the laughter of a little kid with his family at the other end of the restaurant, it reminded me of taking my own kids to DQ many years ago.
Having a banana split is becoming a luxury both in availability and...
Read moreI have a soft spot for DQ! Have always loved there desserts, and u can't compare their icecream desserts with any other of the fast food restaurants..... DQ takes the cake everytime!! Lol I bring a box of their icecream sandwiches home with me probably once a month, for sure! And this Douglas street location wins out over the rest on this side of the island, when it comes to cooking their food.... burgers, chicken strips (real chicken not processed chunks), fries etc. I can truly say they care about the food that they are putting out. I think it comes from longtime owners & management...... The previous (original) owner knew what he was doing, when he sold it to a couple of his longtime employees. Glad to see that they have kept the same goal of keeping their customers happy, the food good, the wait times short (but still cooking as orders come in & not just cooking it & keeping it warm til orders come up) and all the while making an exceptionally great effort of keeping the premises...
Read moreI am a regular customer of D&Q as living near the store. As regularly went to buy fries for my 2 years son. And later on I wanted to add chicken that I found on the menus as a deal will be cheaper if I order instead of fries. Therefore I asked CSR to change my order which already order and payment done. I request to that CSR to upgrade that offer instead of fries. The CSR refused and said he can’t upgrade my order as order already taken. I said you can return my money and cancel the order and put a note on the cancelled order and charge extra amount. The CSR refused and didn’t show the respect and help. I asked for a manager to help and he said he is in charge of the shift. His name is Sam and seemed not understanding responsibilities and how to deal with and ordered cancellation and upgrade the customer order to help store revenue by selling extra items to cx. No apology from Sam even he was laughing with my order with his teammates in the back. Felt ashamed when wanted to...
