An Absolute Disaster of a Dining Experience We went to this place excited for a nice mushroom chicken hot pot, but what we got was an insult to cuisine. After an inexcusable 30 minute wait, our "hot pot" arrived - a greasy mound of rice loaded with cheap sausages and a few paltry pieces of chicken. Where were the mushrooms that were advertised as the star ingredient? According to the incompetent staff, they were sliced so thinly as to be "invisible." What a pathetic excuse! Either be upfront that you botched the order or don't insult our intelligence. This was not the hot pot we ordered and not anything resembling the menu description.. An establishment this disorganized and indifferent to getting things right has no business operating. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your money and appetite. There are plenty of other restaurants that actually care about their customers' experience.

We ordered delivery through Skip which was fine and good service. The food was hot aside from the chow mein which tasted really old, dry and stale - almost like it was fished out of the bottom of the fridge from a day or two past and microwaved. The taste of it was off and had very little flavour, other than a bit of funk. The chop suey was great! Breaded almond chicken was very small, super doughy and greasy. The kicker was that mixed in with the chow mein, was a staple that my son nearly swallowed. It did not come from the packaging, as the container came in a grocery style recyclable bag, not a paper back with any staples in it. I will not order from there again!

Standard Chinese restaurant, you should expect good food and not good service because you won't get it here. Authentic Chinese customer service 100% 🤣 Food was good, bbq duck and the steamed ginger chicken was so fresh. Unfortunately I found hair in my favourite dish, spicy calamari and the gailan was old and chewy, tofu too salty and chicken was so chewy we didn't eat it. you get free rice and red bean dessert after which I think is decent deal considering everywhere else charges for rice We didn't complain because as mentioned above no service plus they were so busy you're kind of forgotten once your orders are done and you're dining.. very Chinese 👍🏻

Worst Chinese Food Restaurant I have had the displeasure of ordering from, eating from or dealing with, ever. Don't waste your time or money unless you are a wealthy Asian worthy of them kissing your behind.

I called this restaurant for delivery. No delivery service on a Saturday night of a long weekend, I had to order through a subcontracted delivery service.

Although I have allergies and food sensitivities, the very rude person who answered the phone the third time I called (I was hung up on the first 2 times I called), had no interest in listening, told me to make notes through their contracted service and slammed the phone down on me again.

I was assured by others the food would be worth it and placed the order against my better judgement. I wish I had followed my instincts and ordered from somewhere else as I have had better Chinese food from Fairway Market and Mall takeout places than what this "high end" restaurant delivered.

I ordered 5 dishes in total and my bill was almost $80. Only 4 dishes arrived. The one dish - Stir-fry prawns with cashew chop suey did not arrive and it was the dish I was MOST looking forward to trying.

It took more than an hour to arrive and was cold when it finally was dropped off. My complaint was heard not by the restaurant, but by the delivery service.

When I went to the restaurant to investigate, the counter person offered no apology, blamed the service, admitted the one dish had been forgotten, offered to have the one dish remade for me right then but no manager or supervisor was available. They would have a manager/supervisor call me when they arrived. No manager called.

So I have a credit with the subcontracted delivery service, poor quality food that arrived cold and congealed, missing a prominent main course dish, and no recourse or apology from the restaurant. But all of my payment.

Do not be fooled by the number of Asians who eat here, this is out of habit, not because the restaurant serves good food. The remainder of the dishes we DID receive were substandard in quality ingredients and poorly prepared.

Overcooked ginger beef, too sweet mango chicken, dried out shrimp fried rice, greasy pan-fried dumplings with no determination of what they contained . Also unsecured by the delivery service - I was handed a stack of takeout containers rather than a bag or box. No soya sauce or chopsticks. No fortune cookies, no receipt. A small slip of paper with Chinese writing on it - no English or restaurant defining characters of any kind. No takeout menu so I could order again and no customer service of any kind.

Again, do not waste your time or money on this garbage dump restaurant. You will get better food and service in a grocery store...

I am writing this review because I am extremely disappointed in how the staff handled their mistake with my takeout order today. After picking up my order from the restaurant and driving back home to eat, I realized that they gave me the wrong dish for one of the items that I ordered (gave me beef and broccoli instead of ginger fried beef). So I call them to see what can be done, and I am told that I can come back and pickup the right dish in 20 minutes. So now I drive back to the restaurant to pickup the dish that I originally ordered.. only to be told once I get there that I can NOT take it because I didn’t bring back the other dish…. The wrong dish... why in the world would I have brought it back? It’s been opened inside of my house,, what do they want it for? If I had been instructed to bring it back over the phone, I happily would have done so - I was not going to eat it either way because I don’t like that beef order. Plain and simple.

So now I am leaving empty handed, the food that’s still at home will have to be reheated by now, and I’ve wasted 45 minutes of my night driving back and forth to this place. All for nothing but frustration and a terrible taste in my mouth. I am extremely disappointed in how they have handled this matter at Fountain.

Safe to say I will never eat here again after this treatment.

And while I’m at it, the three dishes that we DID actually order were not good. The chow mein was way too hard and tasted off. The rice from the “chefs special” was way too mushy, and the lemon chicken was overcooked. Don’t waste your time and money...

Order came in as expected, originally. Delivery driver asked to be met in the lobby, and while unusual, not unheard of. However, he said he didn't have any change when told it was cash instead of debit. After waiting an hour for delivery (It was expected, as we were told it was a busy night), I couldn't be bothered to express irritation. Collected the food, got upstairs, and promptly discovered that some of the pork in the BBQ Pork Fried Rice was, in fact, still raw. Called them back, was given a weak explanation of how it's 'Just the seasoning', and then begrudgingly offered a refund after declining a replacement for the dish. Call requesting refund was made nearly 45 minutes ago. Return driver was courteous and willing to give us a refund on the items not eaten, which is fair enough. We had, after all, enjoyed the dumplings we'd ordered. All in all, while the staff is understanding, not 100% sold on the "It's not raw" explanation as was given.

TL;DR - Ordered food, got what was ordered. Turned out there was raw pork in the fried rice. Delivery driver 'had no change'. Return driver was patient and willing to talk, however. Not overly impressed, will most likely not be ordering...
