We came on a Saturday morning at around 9:30AM and the place was absolutely packed. There was a small line waiting to order but there were lots of people waiting inside for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

We ordered the cinnamon bun, asparagus brie grainy mustard bundle and cheese pretzel. We started with the cheese pretzel and omg, it definitely became a must get. The cheese is super savoury and addicting. The pretzel itself was chewy and had a great charr to it. Pretzel is a must get

The asparagus brie grainy mustard bundle was very creative. It had mustard seed in it which gave it a nice tang. The only fault on this pastry was the that because there was so much filling the bottom got A TAD soggy and could have been crisper. The pastry itself on the sides was nice and flaky. The brie gave it that extra luciousness. This is I believe a seasonal item and for the steep price it seems like a bit much but if you like brie mustard and asparagus you will love this

The cinnamon bun was most likely my least favorite of the three. Their cinnamon bun was fluffy and had a lot of cinnamon flavour which I loved. But it was a bit too sweet for me. They seem to prefer their cinnamon buns with more liquidy caramelized sugar I guess in place of any need for frosting but as a personal preference I kind of like crispy topped cinnamon buns. This is not it if that's what you are looking for

Overall I want to keep this as a hidden gem in my books as their goods are so delicious and I don't want more competition when buying their goods. They sell out before the end of the day so make sure to check their Instagram. Their baked goods are definitely on the pricier side but for the quality of the goods I don't mind paying...

Don't be fooled by the minimal seating, just three stools and a counter inside. Working Culture operates as a takeout spot by design, but that's all part of the charm. Grab one of those coveted stools or, better yet, claim the bench outside where you can properly savor what might just be the most transcendent pastry experience of your life.

Our feast began with a spicy pickle twist that delivered an unexpected punch of tangy heat, followed by a strawberry lemon curd pastry that struck the perfect balance between tart brightness and creamy indulgence. The smoked cheese pretzel was a masterclass in comfort food elevation, while the andouille hand pie packed serious flavor into every flaky bite. The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich elevated the classic with an English muffin so perfectly crafted it could make you weep, and two perfectly pulled coffees rounded out our morning spread.

Every single item sang with intention, this isn't a bakery throwing together random combinations and hoping for the best. Each pastry showcases buttery, melt-in-your-mouth perfection, while every flavor pairing feels like it was workshopped by culinary artists who understand how ingredients should dance together.

Working Culture proves that sometimes the best dining experiences happen when you least expect them, on a bench outside a tiny shop where the bakers have turned takeout into...

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this bakery. If there is a line do not let it deter you! The inside of the shop is quite cozy so not many people fit inside at once, but the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. They do have seating, but it can fill up fast so I recommend planning to take your purchases to enjoy at a second location. Go early in the day to maximize your treat options, this bakery is popular and sells out quick!

There are amazing breakfast sandwiches on weekends. The menu is quite inclusive offering vegan and vegetarian options. They often add in creative new flavours for their both their pastry line up and hot drinks so you can keep coming back and trying new things! Their sourdough bread is also hearty and wonderful that also often has flavour changes ups.

They have a small but curated cold drink selection that features options I haven’t been able to find else where in Victoria.

And of course they also have cool merch, that features local creators and artists.

Not only do they make amazing baked goods, they are dedicated community members. They use their business platform as tool for engagement on matters of social justice that they care about. Participating and helping to organize bake sales and attendance at protests. They really put their money where their mouth is. And you should put your mouth on...

First off, I dont have a lot of personal time to go and try new places. However, I try every opportunity that I do have to go to Working Culture to try something new. I first tried the breakfast sandwiches and was blown away by how amazing they are, also by the way they have by far the best vegan breakfast sandwich in Victoria...hands down the best. I've also loved the chocolate sourdough bread and the kamut bread... absolutely amazing. Now, I'm kinda obsessed with flaky pastries, so this past weekend, i had the a flaky plum pasty that was absolutely to die for, plums and baking are this guys krytonite, I cant help myself. Also, the shop is absolutely beautiful, well staffed, and customers are well taken care of, kindly and efficiently. While I have been in a line here, almost always, it has always moved very quickly, and to me, it is always a sign of a great place to go to and check out. Also, the owners are an absolutely amazing couple who love what they do, and it shows in every aspect of their business. Thank you
