Review for Namaste - Victoria, BC ⭐️ I recently had a very disappointing experience with Namaste in Victoria, and I feel compelled to share it since customer service is crucial in the restaurant industry. I mistakenly ordered from their Victoria location instead of Vernon, primarily due to their sponsored listing on Google. Once I realized my error — living in Lumby, it’s impossible to receive food from an island — I promptly called the restaurant to explain the situation. Unfortunately, I was met with frustration. While I appreciated a call back the next day, I was disheartened to be offered only a 50% refund. Given that my order was completely inapplicable to my situation, I believe a full refund was reasonable. I also suggested taking back 50% of my food order as a credit, as it seems like a fair compromise. However, the owner on the line was adamant about not refunding my tip, which I found extremely disappointing. The conversation ended abruptly, with no effort made towards customer satisfaction. Considering that it was 6 PM when we were speaking, I seriously doubt the food went to waste as they claimed. It’s disheartening to see a business prioritize profit over customer care, especially in light of the situation. I can't recommend Namaste Victoria based on my experience. I sincerely hope they take this feedback to heart and work on improving their customer...
Read moreOrdered takeout through online system. Food was delicious and very good quality. One note of caution, I specified "mild" on my online form and of course these things are all relative and yes, I am a white person haha! But if you are sensitive to spice heat just be aware that the mild level is really more on the edge of medium. Update: have ordered 2 more vegetarian dishes since, and have exactly the same thing to say! Quality of food is extremely high, and "mild" level of spice was the same, on the edge of medium and caused a little burning in my mouth. Probably people who are really sensitive to heat normally steer clear of Indian food anyway.. Final update; I called the restaurant, and discussed my situation with the manager. He told me to make a special note when I submitted the online order, to put a note, make my dish especially mild and to leave off the hot pepper and black pepper. Well, I did so including also that ginger and garlic were not a problem, and... What a super tasty dish resulted! Probably the best Aloo Gobi ever - they use garden fresh cherry tomatoes, as an example of their quality ingredients. Yum-yum. I really appreciate the manager, who was sincerely concerned and asked me to call in later to report if the outcome was successful.
So now all I have to worry about now is how much weight will I gain from being able to eat here more...
