Read moreFood was fine but I don’t think I’ll come back here. Was it because of how I looked? Who knows not important anymore. And it’s not like I only ordered one thing.
I came in the morning and there were other customers so it wasn’t like they just opened.
I asked for a few things for starters but they immediately told me the price and didn’t ask if there was anything else I wanted.
Every time I added something on it felt like they didn’t want to take my order?
If this wasn’t walking distance to where we were staying, I would give this place even fewer stars.
Like I don’t need the carpet rolled out for me and for someone to hold by hand but I didn’t get a good first impression of this place.
I even said thanks while leaving just to be courteous and they didn’t even bother to make eye contact and gave a pretty weak goodbye and not even a see you next time or have a good day.
Maybe they were having a bad day but it was my first time there and first time in the city.
I didn’t even have a complicated order. Their to go packaging is a bit much too. My food orders could’ve been easily put in paper bags but they tossed it in a bulky container.
I’ve been to Tim Hortons that are nicer, no shade to...
Read moreI just took my brother to the Fisherman's Wharf location for coffee and a breakfast snack. I have celiac disease; I'd noticed some sweet gluten-free bars in the display case, so I asked the woman running the cash and taking orders about gluten-free choices for breakfast. They have breakfast wraps; did they have them available with corn tortillas? Her grasp of English was very bad; she had never heard the word "gluten" before and didn't bother to ask her manager about it, just stared at me impatiently. She treated me like an irritant. I gave up and pointed to a sweet gluten-free bar.
My brother ordered a pre-made breakfast sandwich to be heated up. We sat and waited ten minutes for it; then found that this woman had forgotten to put in his order at all, even though I'd paid for it. When my brother went to inquire, she just shrugged and stomped off to get it. We sat again waiting for it, and finally my brother went up and found his sandwich had been just left on the counter to get cold. No one alerted him to the fact that it had been ready for some time. There was no apology or even acknowledgement from anyone for any of this! I won't go back to Moka, and I'll tell everyone I know to...
