We went here for my birthday and we will never go again. It is presented as a restaurant however it is more like mediocre fast food place. You order at a window. The staff person was not friendly or helpful and looked like she would rather be anywhere else.

The food was over priced and the servings were small - especially the sides of rice - which were clumpy cold and tasteless - with a pickup window hard to imagine how this was possible - it wasn't busy. The chips and refried beans were low end chips - not proper tortilla chips and there was at best maybe a small handful: the refried beans had no flavour and were also cold and there was barely enough for the few chips provided. The tortilla soup also cold and tasteless the plastic spoon stood up on it's own- scary stuff and we didn't eat it. The balance of our food were feature dishes - there was 5 of us - they were passable albeit nobody finished their food. Also they had no Mexican beer such as Carona a staple at most Mexican restaurants around town if they are licensed.

This is a must miss from my perspective. There are lots of amazing Mexican food restaurants in Victoria: in my opinion this is not...

Recently they have raised their prices significantly ($20 for a bean and rice burrito which I was going to get but couldn’t justify for probably $2 worth of ingredients.) and the quality is just not there. If anything it’s gotten worse. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were almost inedible. No seasoning or marinade on the steak, and it was SO over cooked I could barley chew it. There was so much rock hard gristle as well. In addition the toppings were just lettuce and some watery pico de gallo. No sauce. I had to ask for hot sauce to make it edible. $23 for these 3 tacos by the way, no sides. I’ve eaten at a ton of Mexican restaurants and this is by far the worst. $10 for a tiny side of Sysco brand chips, bad pico & a fountain drink is insane. I think they have just jacked up their prices to take advantage of tourists. Locals won’t pay that much for bland, overcooked food. 3 tacos, probably 20 chips and some shrimp for $56 and you have the audacity to ask for a...

I have enjoyed the food here greatly. Have come to the Fisherman's Wharf Location several times and happy withe the food and service. I don't understand anyone complaining about the prices. They are fair. Someone here complained about tostados for under 13$ and the serving was too big? Don't understand why someone could complain for getting a meal that they feel was too big and for under 13$ costing too much.Especially in Victoria BC. Anyway I recommend. Weird set up someone mentioned is due to space constraints on the dock , There is only so much room on the dock. I think they do a good job considering constraints. Victoria BC can get pretty busy so I recommend parking somewhat away and walking to the location. A park is right behind with chairs and...

I was very excited to try this restaurant, but I was very disappointed. I ordered the baja tacos, no seasoning to the fish, it was plain. The fish pieces on the tacos were very small, they put dry cabbage with under the fish. I ordered guacamole but they didn’t have it available, so I ordered pico de gallo. Good thing I did because, I added it to my tacos for then to taste like something. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for my dad. It was soggy and watery. I went to grab my drink in the fountain machine: NO ICE. My pop was lukewarm it was disgusting. Two good things about the place: the server was very nice. They had a very cool set up to keep you warm while you eat. 👍🏼 we appreciated that as it was a bit chilly.

Overpriced. Would be better if meals were slightly less per person. I had the shrimp tostadas and they were pretty looking, tasty, and very fresh but IMO not worth $13.50 for 2. The shrimp was just cold shrimp with a spicy mayo, sr cream squirts; basic lettuce shred and diced tomatoes....thankfully saved by some crumbled queso. So...With tip that was 15. Too much! (*see pic). Atmosphere: Great view of Fisherman's wharf BUT from on public picnic tables. PS I believe this kiosk serves liquor but I didnt try any today, though they appear to have a decent selection. Giving extra full star for the menu which looked tasty, varied, visually appealing, and shareable. Would go back.
