Coco Grill Victoria — Restaurant in Victoria

Wanted to try their ceviche because i assumed it would be fresh but the shrimp was overly cooked. Bland seasoning. The whole concept of the dish was not successful. Found a piece of hair under the food while i was digging into it for a bit. We didnt come forward right away because my friend and I were still talking. After around maybe 20-30 mins we came forward to the cashier and told her about the hair. The first thing she tells me “how long ago did you guys order this?” Subtly insinuating that we put the hair there because we didnt come forward right away (totally understandable). Just did not appreciate her tone and customer service. we barely ate the dish anyways. If you zoom in on the picture you can see the hair.

April 2024 update: The prices have definitely increased like everywhere else but I was happy to see that the price reflects the amount of food i received on my plate. Plus food is still well-seasoned! Highly recommend finding a quiet time to eat out at any restaurant down at Fisherman’s Wharf as the wait time can be long and there may be limited seating. August 2022: new restaurant down at the wharf and the food was amazing!! The service was friendly and the set up of the place is cool. great variety and loved the rice meals and salad that came with it. this will now be our go to restaurant. I would love to know as well if the rice that came with the seafood can be ordered on the side as we definitely wanted more. Ala carte options of the prawns would be great to...

We were just there, September 30, 3024, and ordered the pineapple cashew rice with pork. The pork was not the best and the rice was over saturated with soya sauce to the point my son couldn’t eat it anymore. We asked for a refund but was told they’d make us another, didn’t want, the server kept insisting it was too difficult and would take too long for a refund. We did get a refund.
