Arr, me hearties! Gather 'round as I spin ye a tale of a pizza voyage gone slightly awry at Pirate Pizza Co., nestled on the Fisherman's Wharf Marina in Victoria, BC. Let me set the scene: a sun-soaked marina, swaying boats, and the promise of pizza treasure. But beware, for even in the world of pizzas, not all journeys end in triumph.

As we set our course for a slice of cheesy adventure, we found ourselves in a conundrum. Aye, the pizza was a tad dry, me mateys. It tasted as if it had been marooned under a heat lamp for a spell longer than Blackbeard's beard. Aye, it be tasty, but it tasted like the kind of treasure ye find buried in the back of yer pantry - ancient and long-forgotten.

Mind ye, we were caught in a pickle, for Pirate Pizza Co. be the only pizzeria on these marina shores. The choice was clear as crystal waters: sail to another shore or brave the dry crust once more. The location, though, deserves a hearty cheer, with salty breezes and the caw of seagulls serenading our pizza escapade.

Now, lest ye think this be a tale of woe, fear not! The crew at Pirate Pizza Co. be a friendly bunch, treating us like long-lost shipmates. And let us not forget the brews that quenched our thirst, as cold and refreshing as a plunge into the briny deep on a scorching day.

In sum, Pirate Pizza Co. be a spirited hideaway on the marina, perfect for a casual feast. The staff be like parrots of politeness, and the grog be good. Yet, the pizza treasure did have its quirks, tasting more like an artifact from the pizza archives than a freshly plundered delight. So, should ye embark on this pizza adventure, remember, even amidst dry crust, there be laughs to be had and a...

RUN to this place! This was THE BEST pizza we have had in a very long time. They have very fun names for the pizzas. We got Walk the Plank and Half Pint Penny’s Pesto Chicken. Just reading the names of the pizzas brings a smile to your face. So creative! The pizza crust was that yummy crispy greasy perfection-not thick but not wimpy flat. Crisp and browned to perfection. We were so impressed that they put whole roasted garlic pieces on-very generously and chicken chunks and whatever else was on there. We didn’t even speak but sat there making those yummy food sounds when you are loving what you are eating. The gal who took our order was very friendly and helpful and the place looked very clean. We are very sad that was our last night because we probably would have eaten there every day. Thank you for making such an amazing pizza and putting that quality into each one. We were visiting Victoria from Oregon and we might have to come back just for this pizza!! Victoria is beautiful and the food and people...

Treasure at Fisherman’s Wharf! From the moment we walked up to Pirate Pizza, the aroma alone told us we were in for something special. We ordered the Caribbean Plunder – and wow – this thin crust masterpiece blew us away. The pulled pork was tender and full of bold flavor, perfectly balanced with a rich, savory sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Every bite was a taste adventure, and the crisp crust held up beautifully to all that goodness.

As a DJ and event host with Lee Entertainment, I’m always looking for memorable food spots to recommend – and this is now at the top of the list. Whether you’re a local or just passing through the Wharf, Pirate Pizza is an absolute must-try. Delicious, unique, and five stars all the way!

One thing was bad. when ordering at the counter to go, the payment machine prompted for a tip when choosing no tip the payment machine basically said well. Hang on a second you didn’t choose a tip. Are you sure? I’ve never seen such aggressive solicitation for a tip. I mentioned this to the staff and they seem to be in agreement saying they did not program it. anyways that really distracted from an otherwise fantastic experience. The floating restaurant on the dock in the sunshine is wonderful the staff were friendly and the food was very tasty.

Pizza on the wharf. The whole pizza is pretty good. It's obviously made to order so it's served really hot. The staff is friendly and efficient. They'll give you suggestions if needed. Your pizza will be ready in 15 minutes or less, even on the busiest days. The menu is fairly simple. The beer selection is limited but they're quality options. They even have various coffees. Outdoor patio seating can be a challenge on the busiest times of the day, depending on the time of year.
