The praise for Tacofino menu needs no specific affirmations from my end. They are hands down amazing. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. WAITING TIME can be crazy even for takeouts ( expect 1 hour wait time over weekends). TIP: They take orders over the phone so you should order over the phone before you go in person to pick your order to avoid waiting longer. But avoid weekend evenings to eat here as sometimes the staff doesn't pick the call as they are already overbooked for in house and take out orders.l understand its not a good customer service practice but nevertheless it's what l experienced myself and decided to share with you folks😊 Must try from Tacofino: -Fish Taco :Too good.Cladsic dish and a must try.Well stuffed. Filling and super yummy. - Fish Burrito : Well made, tasty🎉,perfect amount of the filling to make you happy. - Chicken Burrito 🌯: Nice one to try if you want to have something other than fish 🐟.

This is our go-to whenever we come to visit Victoria. We love their delicious fish tacos and we brought many people who also appreciated the food there. The portions are generous, even if it's not necessarily what I would call cheap. It is a must-try. The vibe is quite unique to the west coast and it's something to appreciate. We've been loyal fans of Tacofino since their days on Fort Street, and it's still our top pick for tacos in town. Their crispy chicken and steak tacos are absolute winners in our book. While my friend swears by the fish tacos over the crispy chicken, I can't get enough of the crunch and flavor in every bite. While the price per taco might not be the cheapest around, the fantastic flavor and generous portions make it worth every penny. Just two tacos each, and we were completely satisfied. This place comes highly recommended from us!

Went to Tacofino - WOW!! This place has the best tacos I've ever had in my life! I got the Fish, Tuna and Chicken tacos and I was not disappointed. Taste, portion and presentation beats anything else in Victoria!! They have Dino Sour stone fruit on tap and I gotta say it really complimented that to-die-for meal. I only gave 2 stars as the kitchen REALLY could use a clean. I understand it's super busy all the time but that kitchen needs an entire scrub down, then a plan to keep it clean. The staff were awesome! The service was great, the hostess and other workers were very nice. Great atmosphere and all around amazing place. I will be returning - Hopefully the kitchen gets some attention after this. -Will update when I visit again next month, and amend the star rating / comment :)

This is my first time visiting Victoria and I was recommended to check out Tacofino. I was extremely disappointed and left extremely unhappy. I paid $31.50 and felt like it was all a waste. I will never be going here again. I ordered 2 Fish Tacos & 2 Crispy Chicken Tacos at 9:37pm. I waited outside for around 35 minutes for my order to be ready. When I got to the car and looked at the tacos, I tried biting into the chicken tacos and the crispy chicken was literally rock hard batter. I started pulling the chicken pieces apart and it was all crispy batter, chicken skin, and no meat!!!! This is not high quality meat being used. Is this place run by anyone? Feels like there’s absolutely no management leading the operations of this restaurant.

We stopped for a quick bite at Tacofino as we had already eaten and had dinner plans too. We just heard great things about the yam taco and couldn’t avoid it. It did not disappoint. The yam tempura was juicy, seasoned and delectable. The crunch from the cabbage paired with the acidity from the coleslaw really brought it all together. The tortilla was nice and grilled so the attention to detail was clear. We did have to wait a while but not cause of lack of effort. They had 4 to 5 people on the taco burrito assembly line constantly preparing orders. It was very organized and appeared clean. The staff was really friendly and we can’t wait to come back for a steak taco and/or their breakfast.

It's a beautiful place. It's the very first Tacofino. The name comes about because of Taco + Tofino = Tacofino If you're here around the summers, be prepared for the long long queues before you get your meal. Make sure you decide what you'd like to order before you actually get to the counter I didn't like their coolers too much but if you like Kombucha, you should really try that out. As for their meals, I loved the crispy chicken burrito. It's the best among them all. They shout out your names so it's best to be aware and constantly listening. It's pretty sunny and hot during summers but some people love it. Must check out this food truck for an amazing Mexican meal. :)
