It is easy to overlook the modest exterior of this real gem. When you first walk in you notice the blossoming orchid surrounded by bananas which sits in the middle of room. You are greeted by the friendliest, best-dressed of staff. Our waiter, one of the distinguished owners, was quiet, polite, and had an amazing breath. He provided fast and friendly service, not once did I have to call him over. He read. my. mind. We ordered water, and to our surprise it came with bendy straws AND ice. Not one of the three straws had a hole in it like they usually do. I was surprised to see, however, that most of the other regular patrons did not bend their straws. We ordered the family meal for four, and what came next blew me away! A home-made egg roll for each of us. A plate of fried rice, a plate of chicken chow mien, a plate of deep fried shrimp, which were very crispy indeed, a plate of beef and broccoli, and a plate of the best sweet and sour pork I have ever had. You can tell that everything is made in house. At one point the waiter even sang a beautiful rendition of "Same Old Love" by Selena Gomez which was a...

Hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever experienced. Actually, probably the worst food in general I have ever experienced. Chicken Chow Mein, grease covered noodles with freakishly undercooked chunks of flabby chicken throughout. Sweet and sour chicken balls, freakishly undercooked rolled up chicken covered in soggy greasy bread. Breaded almond chicken, one soggy lump of greasy breaded “chicken” with chunks of what might have been….the almonds? Sweet and sour sauce, liquid red water of some sort. And please, don’t get me started on the “Spring Rolls.” Overly cooked, hollow tubes filled with massive chunks of what looks like mushy expired vegetables with what I could only assume and pray for to be chucks of pork on the inside.

Will never return and remaining hopeful I don’t wake up tomorrow morning with food poisoning from the few bites I managed to be able to swallow. Been two hours and mouthwash won’t even...

Was excited to try this as reviews were good and others said they enjoyed it so I ordered delivery tonight. It took about an hour and arrived hot! Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Egg rolls were not egg rolls - they were odd cabbage folded/wrapped in wonton/spring roll wrapper. The black bean chicken was bland and had mostly celery and lacked black bean flavour. The beef and broccoli was ok, the best thing out of all that we ordered. The pork fried rice was dry and bland - I don’t think there was any egg in it and was mostly just rice. The chicken balls were ok as well and the sweet and sour sauce was good - almost gingery. The Shanghai shrimp chow mein was also bland and dry and just noodles with some tiny baby shrimp. Prices are good, but clearly to make up for poor quality. I will skip this place next time I’m craving some...

It all started out very nicely-great Customer service over the phone, but after waiting 1 hour for the delivery and having to call back to see where the food was....the food finally arrived 1.5 hours later- I asked if it was hot and was told" it was just cooked" but it was merely warmish- when I did not add the tip I was asked" no tip?" I explained I had cash on hand and expressed my discontent with waiting so long- when the delivery person left-we had a good look at our food- the shrimp and egg roll were soggy , the dry pork was ok and actually very good, but the deep fried wonton ended up looking like a big fried chip, with a sliver of pork in the middle. see pic- It had been a while since my family and I had ordered from Young's and it will be our last- maybe things are better when you eat in?

Ordered vegetable chowmein and was slightly disappointed. I'll start with the good which was portion size. I got a lot of food for the money and feel it was worth it from a value perspective. For the bad, the chowmein was drowned in a soupy sauce that made it soggy and wet which I was not a fan of. Secondly, while I appreciated the amount of vegetables there were way to many. It was like 60% vegetables and 40% noodles. I prefer a higher noodle ratio because that is what I enjoy eating. In the photo I removed the vegetables so you can see just how many noodles are actually left. Flavor wise, it was ok... nothing to write home about. Nothing special and I kept having to get past the "soupyness". If I was in Victoria again I'd probably try elsewhere.

Meh...definitely second guess ordering from here. Egg rolls were made with spring roll wrappers, not wanton wrappers and were just bland crunchy cabbage with nothing else. Easily the worst “egg rolls” I’ve ever had. Pork fried rice is very dry, overcooked and clumpy. Singapore shrimp chowmein has little salad shrimp in it and that’s it and the noodles were all broken up into little dry pieces instead of long noodles. Both rice and chowmein were very bland and boring. We had to drown it with soy sauce so it would edible. Black bean chicken was watery and 90% big hunks of celery. The chicken was small shredded flavourless bits. Beef and broccoli was saucy and good. Chicken balls were hot and fresh. Would I order from here again...NO
