Guac Mexi Grill — Restaurant in Waterloo

Your go to Mexican joint with a cheese on top!!!

They are a regular Mexican restaurant for our very close friends and we had their Enchilada one day. We loved it, so we decided to go there and try it out in person.

They do have Dine-in now open and they deliver. Their food is really good and thus they are always busy.

The is a lot of parking space since it's part of a plaza. The location is really good too, University and Weber!

They DO NOT have handicapped accessible entrance or washroom. Their washroom does say that it is handicapped accessible however the button doesn't work. This is where they lost one star.

The food as I mentioned earlier is really good. Their Enchilada is definitely worth the try and I am sure will come again for another one. We also tried their Tacos, they were not very crispy. The fillings are really good as well and they have nice options. There 3 options for sauces all of them are really good. They offer pineapple and lemon as toppings too which is different then any usual Mexican joint.

All in all, definitely worth 1 try. Pls get Enchilada if you are ordering, you will definitely like it. Tip - ask them to add everything into it to make it more...

One of the dirtiest restaurants I've seen in a long time.

The entire food production area behind the counter was disgusting. The ladles sitting on top of the hot food containers to portion out beans and proteins were caked with dried/burned food and had obviously been the same ladles used all day.

The beverage cooler behind the counter had food/liquid splashed all over the front glass. The counters were in the same condition.

The worst part was, there was a phone charger plugged into a wall outlet with the cord draping into one of the food containers that had food in it in the cold top!

I was in food service for 17 years and know first hand what public health looks for when inspecting a kitchen and know without a shadow of a doubt that this place would have failed their inspection.

Do better, people are going...

I have ordered from this place several times in the past, but the last few times the quality has gone down the drain. My biggest complaint against this place is that they never put any chicken in the chicken bowl, which is the only thing I used to like here. The last few times there has been hardly any chicken in the “chicken” bowl and no exaggeration, but lat time I got ONE piece of chicken in my entire chicken bowl. They stuff it up with tofu pieces to fool you. Do they really think the customer is so dumb?! I ordered again tonight with the hope that the experience will be better tonight, and because I wasn’t in the mood for let down, I paid extra to double the meat. Guess what? My “CHICKEN” bowl is again full of tofu tonight and barely any chicken! Unacceptable and absolutely pathetic! Stop...
