I have nothing but good things to say. What a damn treat this place was. I saved half of my sub for later SOLELY so I can put it in my mouth again.
To be honest, this deli was on my "to try" list for months, after seeing so many social media posts in a local food group but the hours didn't coincide with our availability as we live a couple of cities away. We finally had time to go today and I'm so glad we did.
First off, the atmosphere of Babylon Sisters is 100% my vibe. It's so beautiful with the higher ceilings, plants and decor. Perfect date atmosphere, even if we were eating a sub.
The owner is the sweetest guy. So chill, friendly and kind. He wouldn't accept a tip, so I'm basically here to tip with my words and hype. We even bought another one to bring home to our teens because all we could think is "these pour souls don't even know what a real sub could be" 😏
My husband and I had the viral sandwich - the trio with bomba and all the extras - no Olive salad though. Olives weren't meant for this mouth. It was amazing. Everything you'd want in a sub and more. The ingredients just scream quality, and the bread is acrually soft and delicious the way bread should be (looking at you, Subway).
We'll be back literally every possible time we're able to grab lunch...
Read moreWe are locals, and constantly looking for good stuff in this area. We are delighted to see a new deli sandwich place open up!
My wife stopped in and grabbed us two subs, a genoa, and a turkey. Bread was good, sesame seed crusted all around and fresh baked. Meat was great, no complaints, loved the salami, really like the oil and vinegar dressing, I'd get both again for sure
The thing is..
I had read the negatives before going so I was already aware the sandwiches were on the higher end of things at $15 a piece -- what I wasn't really prepared for was a $2 charge for mayo. We put mayo on 2 sandwiches and it cost us an additional $4 -- and then the mayo was forgotten on our sandwiches completely!
I didn't call in or anything because I'm hopeful these guys will remember us and understand we didn't get the mayo we paid for next order and will add it for us
$4 mayo is a tough pill to swallow though. I'd understand 50 cents or something maybe, but $2 per sandwich, I'm guessing it must be specialty mayo?
Anyways, we hopefully have a free addition of it next time, so I will report back once I get to try it -- I love mayo on a turkey sandwich so I'm sure it will be even better!
Will update soon...
Read moreBeen meaning to try this place for a while now and finally drove by during business hours. We ordered two different sandwiches, the Harp’s and Supreme. We both preferred the Harp’s but the Supreme was tasty, too. The meat is generous and the bread is fantastic but for me something is missing. I think because we passed on the spicy bomba, it made the sandwich lose a star. That’s not on them, although maybe a non-spicy version of bomba for those with delicate palates would put it over the top!! 🙃
I do think the sandwich is worth the price as they add a lot of high quality meat in them, but it’s not really in our budget for a quick lunch. For us, it would be a special treat from time to time.
Still, if you are looking for a really...
