Huge rant to west Kelowna Boston pizza and huge rave to dilworth Boston pizza for making it right. We sat down tonight at a table in the west Kelowna Boston pizza , ordered an appie a coke and two coffees a pizza and a crispy chicken pecan salad . The appie came , we were waiting for our main courses to come , went to go out for a smoke and I thought I’d let the waitress know we were stepping out for a quick smoke. We were on motorcycle with our helmets still at the table. As I told her we were stepping out for a smoke she said we weren’t allowed to step out unless we paid for our full meal. I talked to manager he also said the same thing it’s a personal rule of the owners Julie and steve. I pulled a hundred bill out and said here , the table behind over heard and asked what was going on. They were dumbfounded also about the request. I said on second thought give me that hundred back I’ll pay for our apple and we will go elsewhere. I called Boston pizza in Kelowna and they said you are more than welcome to step out for a smoke. Was a joke at the Kelowna location about stepping out for a smoke and had a good laugh about it. They were surprised west Kelowna treats it’s customers that way. That’s the second time something has happened at that west Kelowna location. If you don’t trust your guests you should have a sign posted saying no one is allowed to step outside unless fully pre paid ! Time before on delivery had a staff members hair baked into our pizza. They said they would credit us for the meal When we ordered same meal through delivery they said the would have to charge a delivery fee which I said was fine and I always tip extremely well. Then they said I would have to repay for my dips which is bs because that’s part of the meal. I told them forget it and keep the whole meal and I would go on rant and rave but I never did until todays experience thought I would give them a second chance. That Julie and Steve are running that location into the ground and anyone I know I will be letting them know the kind of service , attitude , and care taken in food preparation. Read moreHonestly, I'm extremely disappointed. This is a $23 Philly cheesesteak sandwich that we received with less beef on it than a $5 subway sandwich. Sliced steak is the first ingredient listed on the menu, as expected from a cheesesteak sandwich. Please go ahead and look for yourselves in the photo attached to see the quantity we were offered. It was, at most, two tablespoons of dry beef shavings total spread over two halves.
I understand things flex in a kitchen, but the fact that the chef looking after this place allowed this to go out for delivery is honestly shameful. Read my other reviews, I am not a pessimistic food critic. This is unapologetically the worst beef dip type sandwich I've ever seen served in my life.
To the manager, your kitchen isn't in your control, as evidenced here. The rest of the food in our order was within ok standards, no complaints, but seeing the amount of beef on this $23 sandwich was legitimately insulting. As it turns out, when the meal is ruined for one person eating in a group, it kind of ruins it for everyone.
I tried calling the restaurant first to make things right and they told me head office wasn't prepared to make any concessions, as it's an uber eats order. I get it, I understand how that works. There's more at play here than that, you served this food. Take some accountability.

Read moreIf zero stars were an option, I'd do that. We ordered delivery at 3:14pm, it gave the usual 50-55 mins as expected and the email said 4:09pm delivery. At 4:21pm out order was still not here, so I called for an update and was told it could be another 20 minutes, so I asked if our food was already good because it was another 20 minutes it would not be in very good shape, I was advised it was in the warmer already. About 10 minutes later I received a call that our food was on the way, by the time the delivery driver arrived our food was 40 minutes after the original delivery time, meaning it sat in the warmer for like 50 or more minutes. Everything was soggy, cold and disgusting. I called in asking for a credit and was told I could only have a full credit if I brought the food back in, which I wouldn't have ordered delivery if I could drive somewhere to pick up in the first place. They offered $20 when the total was $49.44, which I said was not acceptable. I was told I could bring the food back in tomorrow, so I hope they enjoy our torn apart food that we tried to make the best of by reheating and putting on new buns which was still awful.
