I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Japanese restaurant located near Ambleside Beach, and it was an outstanding experience. The combination of exquisite cuisine and a picturesque setting made for an unforgettable meal. From the moment we walked in, the staffs were warm and welcoming, creating an inviting atmosphere and vibe that had given a heartwarming start to our dining experience. The menu was diverse and offered a wide array of authentic Japanese dishes. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with melt-in-your-mouth quality, and the Katsu Don was rich and flavorful, a perfect comfort dish for people that are craving for Japanese Donburi. What truly set Sushi Katsu apart was the impeccable service. The staffs were very attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to offer recommendations. They made sure every aspect of our dining experience was perfect, from start to finish. Dining at this restaurant as a delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Ambleside Beach area. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special dining experience, this restaurant offers the best of Japanese cuisine in a stunning location. I can't wait to return to this restaurant the next time we visit Ambleside again!

Sushi Katsu in West Vancouver is an absolute gem! The dynamite roll is hands down the best I've had in years - the quality is excellent, and the presentation is fantastic. The service is also very attentive, making for a delightful dining experience. I did notice a difference in the sashimi presentation during my visits; on my first visit, it was beautifully arranged in a floral design, which I absolutely loved. On my next visit, it was served in plain pieces, which was a bit of a letdown since the floral presentation really stood out. One area that could use a bit more TLC is the washrooms, as I noticed they were storing cleaning products and had some dust on the surfaces. Despite this, the overall experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend Sushi Katsu for anyone craving delicious sushi!

This place is one of the best sushi places in North Vancouver. The're affordable, clean and have good service and food. The house green tea has a nice roasted flavor. Unfortunately due to the pandemic they are not open for dine in. We orderd ahead and our food was ready within ten minutes. We had two orders of prawn tempura, an order of pork spring rolls, a dynamite roll, a chicken teriyaki bowl and the teriyaki combo. The combo came with miso soup, eight pieces of chicken teriyaki, eight pieces of beef teriyaki and cucumber maki. Out of all of them, my favorite would have to be the teriyaki bowl. It's a crispy piece of chicken cut up over rice with a sweet teriyaki sauce on top.

I had to go to this place because whenever I went to visit friends & few relatives in Vancouver, their teenagers insisted that we go there or get takeout food from this crappy expensive restaurant with less than mediocre food. On each occasion, we tolerated this arrogant sloppy looking middle-aged Asian man - whom we found out later that is the OWNER of the joint when we inquired to see the manager to let him know how RUDE & obnoxious this guy is!

I have several stories of his with his disgusting demeanor & snobbish, impolite behavior & mistreatment of people. Many times he has IGNORED the customers who've been waiting a long time to place their orders while he kept passing by them, pretending to be busy by checking out empty tables & the outside through the windows, not looking even once at the waiting customers! Instead, we & few others on the next table received evil looks from this butt-hole of a guy who thinks because he owns the not-so-clean place & has indifferent customers, he can mistreat anybody anytime he feels like it.

Twice, he messed up our take-out orders too & was dumb & rude enough that he didn't even apologize or do something that would demonstrate decency & express some form of apology! Apparently he likes money so much so that he works as a waiter there to pick up tips as well (LOL). The food there is also mediocre & nothing special AT ALL. This guy has also OVERCHARGED us on several occasions. Guess what: I would never go back there, neither would my friends & relatives & I sure won't stop telling people what a rude low life this owner is & how his restaurant sucks ass. Hasta la vista...

Went to the restaurant previously and my experience was mediocre. Since the only thing I ordered was a sashimi there was almost no room for a mistake. Today's lunch that I recommend to my boyfriend to finally eat in a restaurant and tried a few other items like the pork cutlet dunburi which arrived at our table 2 minutes after we ordered in a TO GO foam box and obviously reheated and definitely not fresh...as a hospitality worker myself i hate to complaint and when I informed the server about our experience and not eatable item her response to me was not to order this item next time if I don't like it. I mean really???? I'm never ever coming back here again. Needless to say all the items that we ordered came literally 2 minutes later and ALL of them were in to go foam boxes. Pass pass pass 100% There are many other restaurants that are worth trying. Don't waste your time...
