I read a lot of good review and was excited to try this place. My experience did not live up to my expectations at all.

The space is cozy, charming, and very welcoming.

My mocha... Meh?

My crepe (Belle Helene) was raw tasting and left a lingering flour taste. Overall dish were very average, if not slightly below. A taste I cannot justify at this price point. I expected better. Mine did come with a good poached pear, which was perfectly cooked. Still bright and refreshing. But the crepe ruined it. Chocolate sauce tasted store bought and not made in house. Vanilla icecream was the same, nothing to write home about.

Don't get me wrong, I think you can corporate mass producing ingredients into perfectly good comfort dishes with the right balance. But this was not it. It left me feeling like I was having a thoughtless dish, cheaply put together and made into a fancy dish with a touch of poached pear.

The bratwurst on the side was pretty good, probably the only thing I actually like. I don't recall now but the herb in there was pretty on point. But at $6 for such a small portion (doesn't appeared to even be a link worth) left me questioning the portion size.

The whole service was very messy. The waitresses kept asking each other what's what and they just all seems very confused. They seems to be trying so I want to praise them for effort but it doesn't make for a good dining experience. One of the waitress almost drop the hot mocha on me because her hand was super shaky.

This place is definitely not for me, and I doubt I would return. It was nice to go...

Awesome food! There was a long line outside the restaurant and they don't take reservations. It took us almost 30 mins to get in. The restaurant is pretty tiny but has the most efficient use of space I have ever seen! Once you get a table it doesn't feel cramped at all. Service was very courteous and very prompt. Food comes out super fast. We tried: Biathlon - My husband thought it was ok but I really liked it Classic Benedict (1/2) - Very good Pacific Benedict (1/2) - Very good Praline Sweet Crepe - Very good Berries + Creme Anglaise Sweet Crepe - AMAZING(!!) The potatoes that came with some were really, really good too. Even though there were so many people being served and a huge line outside we never once felt rushed. Both the server and the manager (or owner?) were very nice and you could see that that manager/owner were genuinely passionate about serving amazing food. Reason for removing 1 star - My son and I wanted to share our benedicts so we asked for a 1/2 classic (Full is for CA$22) and 1/2 pacific (Full is for CA$26). Technically we should have been charged 11+13 = CA$24 and worst case we thought they'd charge us the max which is $26. They charged us CA$34 for the 2 half benedicts! Since benedicts are usually served halved anyway, we felt that it was an atrocious amount for convenience alone but because we had asked for it, we did not...

Waking up and feeling hungry I decided to walk to a restaurant near my hotel for breakfast only to find that it was busy which led me to walk away disappointed and on a mission to find just about anything that I could stuff my face with to fill the old turkey when suddenly almost by fate I stumbled across this restaurant and quite quickly forgot that I was disappointed as my mouth started salivating to the idea of having crapes.

Not only was there no line at the time but as soon as I ordered I looked around and noticed other peoples plates and the cooks doing there thing in the kitchen and soon realized that I had teleported into France itself. Not only did the staff speak French but they cooked French as well. Now I usually describe what I ate at the restaurants but in this case I will have to refrain and recommend you to try anything on this menus as I can 90% guarantee that you will enjoy anything that’s on the menu.

The restaurant is pretty cozy with is say about 10 tables and in the summertime they open up the patio which allowed for even more seating.

Now my final statement on this restaurant is that if you’re ever in Whistler and you were looking for a place to eat I would highly recommend you to try this restaurant for either brunch or breakfast as it is definitely a stop I will be making any time I’m in the area

As always Bon appetite And...
