Spritz Burger is often touted as the best burger joint in Whistler, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Spritz Royale (topped with bacon and hash brown) along with regular fries and a plate of hot chicken wings. The positives: - Pricing is fair, especially during *happy hour*, when the wings were $7 off. - The burger came as an option on a brioche bun, which initially looked great, and the sauce/flavour setup was definitely tasty and satisfying. - Overall, good value for the money. The drawbacks: - The brioche bun didn’t hold up structurally—it completely disintegrated halfway through eating, which made things messy fast. - The burger patty’s texture was a bit *mushy*, which raised some concerns and took away from the experience. Hoping it’s just a one-off kitchen miss, but it’s worth noting. Final thoughts: Spritz Burger delivers on flavour and value, especially if you catch happy hour, but the execution—particularly the bun integrity and meat texture—left something to be desired. With small improvements, it truly could live up to its reputation as one of Whistler’s best burgers. Ambience was satisfactory offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was self-serve type that expects 18% + tips. The cashier was friendly.

I am an easy 5. I will admit it. If the service is great and the food is yummy 😋 and nothing horrible happens. That’s a five. I guess the problem is that doesn’t leave room for the special finds 🤔. I guess lots of photos and acknowledgment in the review is all that is left. This spot is a special find. 5+ Stars! I am not local to Whistler, but I can imagine locals eating here. A little off the main drag and a generally cool space with music, decent food and great service. I had takeout with my wife. We built our burgers and had fries. Fries were delicious as they are at least double fried and perhaps additional magic things done to them to make them extra yummy. Burger tasted better than something that costs 20+ bucks in a more well known restaurant. I wanted a shake! They look yummy and are supposed to be good. But alas I am trying to keep slim and hey I am already going all in with the burger and fries. Get a shake. I regret not getting one. Good local joint, been at it for a while and they don’t disappoint! Seriously though, get a shake.

Splitz Burger in Whistler serves up sumptuous, freshly made burgers loaded with sauce and toppings to your heart’s delight. The fun part? You can build your own burger, but watch out—$2 per topping can add up faster than you think! I went with the Splitz Royale, and wow, talk about luxury—this burger even has a crispy hash brown tucked inside for that extra indulgence. Their happy hour offers “mini Splitz burgers” and wings, perfect for sampling or sharing. The vibe is laid-back, with plenty of generous indoor seating plus a patio to soak up the mountain air. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel casual and fun. In terms of taste, Splitz ranks up there with the beloved Burger Crush—though I’ll admit the patty was a bit mushy and the buns struggled a bit holding all that deliciousness together. But hey, no burger is perfect, and I’ll definitely be back for more. If you’re in Whistler and craving a burger that’s a little different and packed with flavor, Splitz is worth the visit—and maybe an extra napkin or two.

Upon the sacred grounds of Whistler, there exists a culinary haven known as Splitz Grill, a place where dreams and burgers intertwine in a cosmic ballet of taste. My anticipation, akin to an eager pilgrim, soared to celestial heights as I awaited the unveiling of their gastronomic wonders. The minutes, ticking away with the speed of a lethargic snail, finally birthed my long-awaited burger, and oh, the first bite – a melange of flavors that ignited a carnival within my mouth.

The burger, a testament to culinary craftsmanship, was undeniably great, a symphony of sizzling perfection. The marriage of the juiciness of the patty, the crispness of the lettuce, and the embrace of the bun unfolded on my palate like a well-rehearsed play. Yet, as my taste buds waltzed in delight, a quiet whisper lingered in the chambers of my gustatory judgment – is this the zenith, the apogee, the ultimate manifestation of burger brilliance?

It is a question that echoes through the catacombs of my culinary ponderings. The greatness of Splitz Grill is undeniable, an oasis in the vast desert of gastronomic mediocrity, yet, dare I say, not the absolute summit of burger excellence. There are peaks unexplored, flavors yet to be unveiled, and in the vast cosmos of burgers, Splitz Grill, though shining bright, is but one star in the celestial tapestry.

Would I return? A ponderous question that flits through the corridors of my contemplation. The answer, wrapped in the enigma of possibility, dances between the realms of 'perhaps' and 'maybe.' For in the realm of Whistler's offerings, the journey to burger nirvana is an odyssey, and Splitz Grill, a noble chapter in the epic saga of culinary...

Full disclosure - their burgers are fantastic (worth the wait) and their service is great but there is a reason I dropped their rating:

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon, as we were passing through whistler, for burgers and fries - got everything the way we asked for, great burgers but their fries, although double friend which I appreciate their crunch to them, they did look and taste like the fry oil needed to be changed buuuut was still edible, we finished the large fries.

Came back on Sunday as we were passing back through, they made an error on one of the burgers but no big deal, they were busy, but the fries 😣 they looked and tasted like they were cooked in the same needed-to-be-changed oil that the fries from the day before were cooked in - this time they tasted like they REALLY needed to change the oil, we both had a couple fries but then tossed out about 90% of the large fries. If they weren't so busy we would have returned the fries or asked for new ones considering it was almost 45$ for 2 burgers, 1 fountain soda, and a large fries w. a side of gravy but we already had to wait a while for the first order due to this being a popular eating place.

Burgers are fantastic tho! They just gotta really step up...
