Pasta Lupino is one of our fave Whistler spots -- we go every trip! The portions are well-sized and pretty cheap, they have customizable options to appeal to everyone in your group, and every pasta comes with free bread for the table and a starter soup or salad! There are plenty of meat options and vegetarian options, as well as vegan. They make all their pasta noodles fresh in-house, which means they have egg in them, so if you're a strict vegan just let your server know. They have gnocchi on hand (not housemade) for gluten free folks, and turns out it's also vegan! So as a vegan I was able to get gnocchi with arrabbiata sauce (spicy tomato), but the plain red sauce is also vegan. The salad option is vegan, and they typically have two seasonal soups. When we went this time, one had chicken, and the other was an artichoke tomato lentil stew that was vegan and delicious. Such friendly people and tasty food! They don't take reservations and it's quite small, so get there early or be prepared to wait. It's worth it! You can also pre-order a feast to go and reheat back at your place, we've done that to feed a big group before. Again, you get a lot of good food for a very reasonable price!

First time visiting, Will never visit again. I hope the owner could see this: 1. The dining chair has pasta sauce all over and stains my $800 ski pant and jacket. The waiter claims the previous customer was a family with kids who made the mess, and he forgot to clean the chair. I thank him for bring hand sanitizer to clean but that doesn’t do the job. According to him, my clothing was “they may need a wash”. Yes, the goretex material needs more than that. And during my entire dining experience, I don’t have anyone in charge of the restaurant or attempt to take care of my matter. I try to clean it as soon as I go back to the hotel, unfortunately the oily stain remains. 2. The other waiter just doesn’t know what he’s doing. The meal was served with a basket of bread. This waiter cuts and serves us. When he’s done, I saw him turn around and start grabbing the bread and eating with his bare hand while chatting with the other waiter. And then cuts bread for other table. As a customer sitting 6 ft away from him, I feel truly uncomfortable and this should not happen in front of the customers. 3. The Thai chicken soup was watery and tastes like a mix of chopped leftovers.

Nut allergy friendly: Everything good, even the dessert we tried. Time to Bread: 7 Minutes Time to Salad: 18 Minutes Time to Entrees: 35 Minutes We arrived around 8:20PM and waited about 20 minutes to get a table for 6 and a table for 2. The space is small, so they cannot sit larger groups. Don't be afraid of the high prices! The main dinner entrees come with a soup or salad, so it is very filling. Most of my group took leftovers home (I did not, but I skip lunch when I ski.) Complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil (4.5/5): Banger. Delicious bread and great dip. Caesar Salad (3/5): A classic. Nothing crazy, nothing bad. Chicken Parmesan (4/5): The Chicken Parmesan was not as crispy as I prefer, but it was very flavorful. The pasta was cooked al dente which may feel a bit firm for some people. I really enjoyed the dish overall and the portion was solid. Tiramisu (4/5): Great coffee flavor notes. I only took one small bite but we shared it six ways. Overall, stellar option for food in Whistler Village and I'd definitely recommend it for something away from bar food at an affordable price.

Two of us came here for dinner around 8:00 p.m. We were seated right away. One of us ordered pasta with meat sauce which had a choice of pasta, Radiatore was chosen, however that's not what was brought. Which was disappointing. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan which came with homemade linguine. I was really looking forward to having this and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, I saw my chicken parm being put in the microwave rather than fresh cooked, the linguine arrived in a puddle of water with sauce on top. The pasta was not smooth. It had jagged edges and was very heavy. The sauce was lacking in flavor. Unfortunately The pasta is taken straight out of the water with just sauce put on top. Finishing the pasta in a pan with the sauce and perhaps a little olive oil would have helped immensely. It's always better to finish the pasta in a bit of sauce. And of course making the chicken parm to order would have helped with the crispiness of it and the overall flavor. The parmesan chicken was not crunchy. On the plus side they do give you an appetizer with your entree. We had a choice of Caesar salad, house salad or soup. The soup was minestrone, we found it lacking in seasoning and flavor and didn't even end up eating it. We also had a Caesar salad which we found to be delightful, we loved it. It's also lovely to have bread brought to the table with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, that was a real plus which we enjoyed. This is a small space, that would have been nice with a bit more ambiance such as the choice of music. The heavy metal songs being played were jarring. I think those small touches such as Italian, music, playing, etc. Make a big difference to ambiance. The staff are absolutely lovely., kind, a pleasure to deal with. One other side note, if you want to split your meal with someone, you have to pay for it, meaning you can't just order one dish between two people you have to pay an additional $8.95 They do bring an extra appetizer, but this did feel uncomfortable, as it is not the custom in Canada. And one I certainly hope nobody else adopts. We were pleased with the...

I'm not sure how this place has the number of good reviews it does with the terrible service they provide. We were a family of 10 that felt very disrespected by the staff.

The restaurant has a sign when you enter that says they do not accommodate parties larger than 6. This is understandable as you can see that it's a small restaurant. We acknowledged that and told the server we were speaking with that we wouldn't mind splitting up (it has such great reviews, of course we wanted to try it!). The server said they'd only be able to seat a group of 4 first, but the rest could have up to an hour wait. Naturally, we were hesitant, but we had a 1 and 3 year old that needed to eat dinner sooner rather than later and thought they could eat first with their parents while the rest of us waited.

Even though we agreed, the server appeared to be very confused. She walked back to us and told us she miscounted and that they wouldn't be able to accommodate our number of people as they wouldn't be able to serve us all at the same time even at different tables. We went as far as even saying pretend we're different groups of people (why did it have to be so complicated for them?), we don't need to be served at the same time. The server then looked back to a woman behind the counter who shook her head "no". The server said they just couldn't accommodate our group as we would "take over half the restaurant" (what does that even mean?!) and they were "understaffed" and that's why they don't take groups over 6 people.

At this point it became very apparent they didn't want to serve us, as we felt we were being very flexible, and that they didn't want the business of us 10 people. We expressed this to them and there was really no response. Of course we left the restaurant very upset (and hungry!) after that experience. Was it because they're really terrible at hospitality? Or was it because we're Indian? Honestly, I would not wish ill on anyone, but they do not deserve the reviews they are given and need to work on their service training. It's really unacceptable. Take your business...

First of all, this not right that I cannot respond to ur comment, calling me a liar. I think it's interesting that u responded to me very quickly saying the manager is "very lovely". The manager has no communication skills what so ever. If a manager is yelling across the room in a restaurant to customers that says a lot about the service and the nature of ur "lovely" manager. I'm in the restaurant business myself and believe me, this is not how we treat our customers. We want people to have a good experience. I would not spend my time writing a review while I'm in Whistler for a vacation. Also, pull out the video footage that will show u that there were 3 women sitting next to us and one lady sitting behind us with a laptop. This video footage will confirm that my family member was eating a croissant NOT a sandwich/wrap like ur claiming. By the way, I'm a tourist there, I have no reason to lie, especially when I'm in the restaurant business myself. Please take accountability instead of blaming your customers for lying. All you had to do was to say sorry for ur behavior. The customers were staring at u and us in shock at ur pathetic behavior. It only makes u look bad working in the food industry taking ur anger out on customers. This happened today at April 22, 2022 around 4:30pm. I will not put up with a restaurant manager lying and blaming us when WE DID NOTHING WRONG. We are disgusted with ur behavior. Check the video footage. The truth...
