Stopped by Samurai Bowl today for lunch. I was shocked to see just how busy they get right when the doors open, especially on a Monday! The whole restaurant was full within minutes. With that being said, the single cashier got through the line very quickly. In addition, we got our food quite fast. There’s a decent amount of seating indoors too. The service was very impressive and the lady working was very kind. My husband and I tried a good portion of the menu, I’ll list everything and my thoughts below: * Spicy Agedashi Tofu - very good. We loved the depth of flavor in the sauce which was tangy and sweet. * Veggie Gyoza - these were decent. I think they’d be better pan fried. * Red KFC (1/2 order) - these boneless wings were very good. I loved how crunchy they were and the sauce was great. I could be wrong, but I think it’s the same sauce as the spicy agedashi, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering both like we did. * Vegan Tofu Ramen - my husband said it was THE best vegan ramen he’s ever tried! * Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen w/ chashu pork - I really enjoyed my ramen. The broth was delicious and the noodles were tasty. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the added pork. One thing I would recommend, the Red KFC wings weren’t very hot coming out and I think it’s because they pour a cold sauce over the chicken. If that’s the case, I’d recommend heating the sauce to ensure the wings are served hot. Overall, it was a great spot to warm up on the cold winter day!

I recently tried Samurai Bowl, and overall, it was a great experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, and definitely hits the spot. Everything from the rice bowls to ramen is made with quality ingredients. The service is also on point—quick, friendly, and efficient. The only downside is that it’s more of a takeout spot than a sit-down restaurant, so it can be hard to find seating when it gets busy. If you’re planning to dine in, be prepared that there might not always be a place to sit. Overall, though, if you’re looking for delicious, fresh Asian food with great service in Whistle, Samurai Bowl is definitely worth checking out. Recommended.

I visited this restaurant due to its high Google ratings but left extremely disappointed. I had to pay upfront, including the tip, yet the ramen came only with noodles and broth. All toppings, even basic meat, required an additional fee. The green curry was similarly sparse, served with just a few pieces of pepper unless extra toppings were added. It was a letdown, and I don’t plan to return. However, I must mention that the staff were friendly. Despite their kindness, I still find it puzzling why customers have to clear their own tables after paying a tip upfront. The overall experience and food quality were below.

I will say that the fried chicken here is better than some places, but not perfect. Really, I'd like to see bone-in options before boneless popcorn style is made more the normal. The flavors of those were good. That was part of the family sampler platter - the agedashi tofu was also OK, a bit more crisp on it would have been good. The edamame needed salt, they were quite bland, which may be preferred by some, but also too mellow on flavor. Now, I eat ramen the world over. I don't think I would come here for that. The egg tasted like the refrigerator air that it had been sitting in before being placed in the ramen to serve. The broth was also off-tasting, I think it was lacking in a rich fatiness that broth should have. The pork also not cooked long enough. Very chewy. I was pleased by the amount of noodles however and I feel they were cooked correctly. Good chewy, springy texture.

As for the location, staff were nice, but the hard bench seating could be traded up for even a modicum of cushion for our apres-ski...

Samurai Bowl, located in creekside, is one of my favourite places to eat in Whistler. The food is really good, made fast, and the staff is super friendly. Trying the fried chicken here is a must. There's regular, red (spicy), and black (sweet). My favourite is the red.

I've tried a lot of things on the menu and my favourite is the red chicken donburi and an order of the spicy agedashi tofu. If you're with a friend or two I would recommend the family platter with a couple sides of rice. I have crushed the family platter with one other person. It's a lot of food but not an insane amount. I've also enjoyed the wraps a few times for lunch when I'm looking for something smaller.

They also have a great kids menu and kid...
