Five Star Restaurant (Chinese Restaurant ) — Restaurant in Whitby

This way our first trying Five Star and believe me it won't be our last. We used to go to another Chinese food place on hwy 2 but lately their prices have sky rocketed and the quality of food went downhill. Five star's food rocked We ordered the family dinner for 4B. Everything was superb..the chicken balls are strips of chicken breast with a very light batter..the beef with vegetables was amazing. Lots of fresh cut Broccoli, carrots, peppers, Celery and onion in a very tasty sauce. Most places pile on the Celery but not Five star. The Cantonese chow mein had a great sauce loaded with shrimp chicken and tons of veggies. The portions are huge. You definitely have to try Five star you definitely will not be disappointed. It's now our go to place for Chinese Food. Also the restaurant is very clean..Great friendly service. We ordered ahead and picked up. Everything was ready on time. Keep up the great work Five Star. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant Food is really good especially the general tso chicken and egg roll we really enjoy it egg roll has a good batter, crispy and flavorful chicken fried rice is ok, cantonese chow mein is ok not so great but still ok sweet and sour pork we kinda don’t like it taste like bready the sweet and sour chicken balls they are good but wasn’t expecting to be like that it was different from the other chicken balls that we had but still they are good though everything is fresh and hot but it seems that the portion of the food is so little for the amount that i paid for compared to the other restaurant that i tried i usually order lots so we have left over for the next day sometimes it even last 3 days like i said food is not bad probably will just gonna call for pick up if ever i decided to come back i’m just gonna buy the general tso chicken and egg rolls thats it not worth...

TERRIBLE customer service!! I called ahead and asked for something with no egg-- I spoke to someone so that there would be no confusion. When my order came, there was TONS of eggs in it (lots of chunks). When I asked for a refund they told me they would not and they could only make me the same dish again. Said they would give it to me "free"-- it's not free, I already paid for that dish. What they gave me originally, I can't eat. It is SNOW STORMING outside, I had to drive already to go get it, I asked for something extra to make me whole and they flat out refused and told me I was not entitled to anything and that since I only ordered one thing they were not concerned about my customer experience. SO RUDE! By the end the guy was yelling at me over the phone. I am SHOCKED. Very...
