Okay so my husband booked this place for my birthday . My first teppanyaki (hope I spelled that right) experience! My first impression was decent place, not too much decoration they had 2 station for live cooking. Hosts were nice! While we were waiting we ordered the combo for two special with the lobster(they were quite small ) , shrimp (very good size) , beef steak and chicken . We were started off with miso soup and salad (omg I loved the salad)! My son had chicken wings very hot and fresh ! It came with a yummy sauce! My niece ordered the chicken on skewers that was good too! It took a while for our cook to come had to wait abt 20-25min maybe he was taking a break but he understood we were hungry and started off with the fried rice it was very flavourful and no complaint we liked it! Then came the vegetables , and seafood and lastly steak! All split 4 ways! Hosts were good , the chef talked less but the fire part was fun for the kids ! You get to take the left overs home and it was so yummy the next day too! Overall great first experience! Loved the food! Seasoning on point! Maybe next time I will order diff items! Cheaper to order in and sit but if u want the experience you have to pay a bit more! If the food wasn’t good I would have definitely regretted paying too much ! Also tips are included with the bill! But highly recommend to try it out!

Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and it was a great experience! From the start, Anna was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. She was super fun 😊 We were at the teppanayaki table with 7 people in our party. I ended up getting sushi which was delicious, and the others all got the teppanayaki. The different meats chosen were scallops, steak, shrimp, chicken and Lamb. I did try my husbands shrimp and Lamb and they were both delicious. I tried a piece of steak also and it was very good. The salad we get at the start is so tasty, especially the dressing it comes with. Our chef Andy was very entertaining, making a fun experience for us all. Definitely worth it to come here for dinner. Most likely we'll return in the future.

Back again for more. Still great! Ordered Sui Mei for starters along with the regular sides of soup and fresh, crispy salad. Steak and Shrimp combos all around, were prepared with a great skill. Entertaining, and perfectly prepared. Great lunch, plus fun and entertaining! Definitely recommend Enjoyed excellent Teppanyaki at the Villa for our Family day lunch. Particularly good because both tables were full and Chefs were motivated to perform. We had the Steak/Shrimp combo with rice, vegetable array, soup, and salad. Entertaining and very tasty, a great value lunch at $22/person. Even gave us ice cream for dessert! A great place to come with friends for a fun night. Brought to you by Sake. Recommend.

Today was my first time attending this restaurant. Went on a nice night out with friends and family to a birthday celebration, however the experience was underwhelming to say the least.

Our first issue came earlier in the day when making a reservation. We called first thing in the morning to make a reservation for 5pm that evening. When we contacted the restaurant they agreed to having us in at 5 however didn’t ask for a name number or anything of the sort. We arrive at 5:00 pm and the first thing that was addressed to us was that we must be done eating at 6:30 because of another reservation is scheduled for that time. We agreed due to the fact that we wanted to make the night as fun as possible as we were planning to celebrate a birthday.

When seated the waitress handed us menus and immediately asked what we wanted, our table couldn’t even get the chance to open the menu to browse and see what interested us. She also said they we must get meal a, b, or c.to get the ball rolling. The chef then came out to cook for us on the grill. It was a laxk of energy and dis interest for our table even though we made it clear it was a special birthday.

When we received our food the staff stared at us the whole time even telling us hurry up and eat. Making the experience very uncomfortable and annoying.

I understand that scheduling is a priority and must be kept however if the staff knew they double booked why wouldn’t you take the initiative to either a) cancel our reservation or b) renegotiate a better time.

All in all this was a terrible experience and i will never go back again the fact that my family and i were treated so poorly was disgusting especially compared to other people who came after us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not even my own worst enemy would treat me this way. Please don't go and waste your time and money for Chinese food that you good get at fine taste for half the price amd it...

I'm trying to leave as honest a review as possible. I've ordered from Villa twice, last night being the second time. It was worse this time than last, but I kind of kicked myself for expecting it to be better.

The quality of the maki rolls is very, very low, both in ingredients and rolling. I was surprised to see the sushi rolled in such an amateur fashion, falling apart before we touched it with our chopsticks. The outer rim of rice and seaweed did not meet in the middle, overlapping at the end so that the ingredients were never under any pressure in the centre. Ingredients in most rolls weren't sticking together, so that when you did pick up a roll its contents would stay in the tray and you'd be left with the rice.

The rice too was very stale, I found that weird considering the volume of rice a restaurant must turn over. It tasted like it had been left out on the stove overnight.

The salmon smelled immediately as we opened the container...not a good sign. Off-gassing on my plate really does concern me, considering it should be rather fresh.

At this point, after giving them a second chance, my understanding is this is the level of quality people have come to expect from them. Clearly people are happy if the overall ratings are so high. My suggestion would be to look elsewhere, take a chance on a different...
