Ricky's All Day Grill - Whitehorse — Restaurant in Whitehorse

I would NOT Recommend going here. I went in knowing it was going to be pretty basic and not expecting much. Probably the fastest I have ever sat down and been in and out of a restaurant in my life.

Let’s start with the decor and vibe of the place. Most window shades completely closed which give the place a darkness . Then they hang up tons of Christmas lights and a small disco ball like light. All in all very dark and tacky. Felt like I was maybe at a truck stop or tacky bar in the back country in the middle of nowhere and the music is terrible. Open all those nice windows and get some nice day light in there, take down the lights and update your music play list. It’s not the 80s or 90s time for some updates. Brighten the place up :) !!!!

Now the food. As soon as it came to my table I looked at it and I knew it wasn’t going to be any good. But as everything in Whitehorse is way overpriced I didn’t want to waste the money lol. Wish I took a pic for you all. Eggs were a brown plastic like yellow never seen eggs like that before, hash browns hardly cooked they were like white, and toast was so burnt. Bacon was cheap cardboard like. It all tasted terrible.

I’ll add that I am very basic when it comes to food and I don’t ever go to fancy restaurants. I am pretty easy to please but this meal and experience was really bad. Amazing breakfast places in town All Day cafe 506 I believe it was called and Burnt Toast.

Very irresponsible and unprofessional customer service. They do not know how to handle online orders properly. I ordered the food online at 6:15 PM. Received notification to pick-up the order at 6:45. Waited at the counter from 6:43PM to 7:18PM. When I asked the staff about my order, they don't have any idea about my order. When I asked how long it will take to get the food- no answer. Looks like they have some staff never worked in food industry. And finally, when I received the food, they even didn't apologize for the delay occurred. Hey management, is this the way you treat customers? Whitehorse is a small friendly community. Please train your staff how to provide decent customer service to Yukoners. It was good sometime before, but getting worst like a Timhortons. During the time I was waiting for the food, I could see your staff enthusiastically serving the Uber / Skip-the-dishes buddies but not a customer like me. Please try to be more professional and ethical. In future, I will use Skip the dishes or Uber for my orders. I was thinking to place the order directly to the hotel to help the local business. But they don't deserve the support. Let the corporates eat their 16%...

Just landed in Whitehorse today and stayed at the quality inn. We were so hungry and decided to go to this place that has access from the lobby. I ordered a breakfast taco plate. It came out and the plate it was on was hot but the bacon and eggs and hashbrowns were not even room temp. They felt like they were in a fridge and the chef put them on the tacos and forgot to warm them up. I told the server and she said she will check with the chef. She came back and said the avocados are supposed to be fresh and cold. I laughed and said I’m not stupid and I am not talking about the avocados. I know what hot, warm and cold food is. The server said she understands me but the chef says otherwise. I would’ve asked the chef to come out but there was an elderly gentleman having his dinner two tables down so I decided to keep my calm and not ruin his dinner. We got the bill and rightfully so they put the amount that my husband ordered. Not once did they apologize or offer a discount. What a horrible experience.
