Initial visit to alfys. You go to to the counter, order and pay first. You walk straight into the restaurant pretty close to the end. You order a type of noodle Type of soup Protein No protein is $11.99 Adding any kind of meat at most is $1 for the initial amount. (Additional meat is more) Protip: order the beef. I watched them prepare a few bowls first and could tell the beef was going to be 👍 Then you can add extra items like wontons or more protein. Soups.... Sour and spicy soup: The soup itself was sour and sweet but without complexity. Classic rich: It was good, but my friend did say he thought it could be more flavorful. I thought it had flavor but would have liked a bit more depth to it. Very happy to find sweet potato noodles as an option. That's a favorite but hard to find. They are thick, clear and easier on my stomach. We added a poached egg. The shape was interesting. It was very hard boiled though. We also ordered a little bit of everything for the sides. ($5.99) I didn't eat most of it. I didn't pack it either because I didn't really want it. Its not terrible, but with the poached egg, I didn't want more quail eggs. I should have gotten one or the other. I had a bit of the wakame, and I wasn't in the mood for their kimchi after trying it. It wasn't good enough to warrant me to pack it up, but the price point at $5.99 was pretty cheap that I didn't feel terrible about it. 🤷♀️ Parking is available in a large lot. Its on Waverley, in the parking lot where Cora's is. Service was pretty absent. Its counter service. They weren't exceptionally talkative. They didn't inquire if it was our first time or give tips on anything unless we asked. My friend thought it was a 3, but I give it a 3.5. Google doesn't give me the option though. I'd try it again though to see if there was something I'd missed.

Alfy's Noodle House This restaurant is located south of the underpass on Waverley. There is ample parking and assisted entrance if needed. Once inside they have a hand sanitizer dispenser. The restaurant is bright and clean. You place your order at the back. The menu has a few simple choices and some add ons. We tried the Pork Spare Rib Noodle Soup and some Spring rolls. The noodles were very good. They were cooked perfectly and had a great taste and texture. The pork spare ribs were tender and fell off the bone. They didn't have a lot of gristle which was nice. The broth had a lot of flavour and the spring onion added but blended into the pork based broth rather then overwhelm it. The soup comes with a flavoured hard boiled egg. The egg once cut starts to infuse the broth with another level of flavour and texture, very yummy. The Spring Rolls were light had crispy. They tasted fresh and came with a good tasting plum sauce. They didn't cost too much and they were better than many others I've tried. They also supplied Chilli oil. It wasn't hot but had a good flavour. The menu is a little spartan with descriptions. They may have a hard time showing people what great food they have. Better descriptions and images would give people a clearer understanding of items they could order. The staff was friendly. Despite having a few other tables the restaurant wasn't noisy. If you are in the mood for Noodles in broth come check out Alfy's.

Alfred, the man behind Alfy’s Noodle House, is an enthusiastic, friendly, and passionate noodle house owner. I had the opportunity to chat with him while ordering my food, and just before leaving the restaurant. I could barely say bye as the restaurant was starting to fill up as it was lunch time! I ordered #9, the Sesame Paste Beef Noodle, which is wheat noodles, sesame paste, stewed beef chunks, pickled long beans, and roasted peanuts. I also had a seasoned egg on the side. The noodles were great! Very nice bite, the sauce was great, and spice was just as I liked. I ordered the hottest available spice, and it was exactly as I expected. The first thing I noticed was the Ambience of Alfy’s Noodle House. It was clean, spacious, and bright, something very desirable in my books. Ordering is relatively easy. You go up to the cashier and pick the dish, then the spice level, pay, and wait for your bowl of noodles to arrive at your table. I highly recommend Alfy’s for both foodies and first time noodle house visitors. Alfred is very knowledgeable in regards to the history of some noodle dishes, how different types of noodles are made, and probably all things Chinese food!

EXPERIENCE 5/5 Owner and staff are super friendly, very helpful to answering all the questions I had. Atmosphere is spacious and vibrant, the first thing I noticed was the simple interior design they had using white, grey, black and red to balance the restaurant, eye pleasing. I've never had chinese noodle soup before so I wasn't too sure what to expect. I ordered the #1 Beef Wheat Noodle Bowl at level 3 spicy (default) you can choose your level of spiciness. spicy isn't my thing but it was the right amount of kick that you want. Usually with soup I look for a deep and rich flavor but with the chili oil and broth made it so it was light and subtle, something I'm not used to but it worked! The price matches the portion amount you get; with some veggies and some pieces of beef. The beef isn't your typical chewy texture more so firm and bold which I seemed to enjoy a little too much. Looking forward to coming back here to compare with the other soups! Great place to go during the winter!

Have you ever been to Alfy’s Noodle House and tried their noodle soups? Their noodles are hand pulled and you’re able to control the spice level of the broth. . I was quite impressed with how delicious the broth was. I got the Beef Wheat Noodles and my friends got the Pork Wonton with Wheat Noodle and Beef Wheat Noodle with Pork Wontons. The beef itself was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. The wheat noodles had a great chew to it which I prefer. I got mine with level 2 spice since I wasn’t sure how spicy their level 5 was going to be. Next time I’d like to add wontons to my order and increase the spice level.

I have only tried their n° 1 beef noodle. The wheat noodle is good. The beef is well marinated. My friend, who had the beef rice noodles, did not like his noodles at all. Most of the noodle bowls come with veggies and meat. There are vegetarian options as well (including the broth). I like how they allow you to choose the level of spiciness (1 to 5). Take in consideration that their default is 3. I can take it pretty well and I don't have high spiciness tolerance. The environment is cozy and fresh. You need to order your food in the counter first; and, they will delivery the food to your table.
