Just to be clear, I have never written a negative review for a restaurant -I just don't see the point usually. But I live an hour out of the city and was actually excited to go to Burrito del Rio and have a burrito today. I have always enjoyed the food here and thought the staff was very friendly and attentive in the past.

I did not recognize any of the people working behind the counter today.

While ordering, I felt like the young person behind the counter was annoyed and rushing through the interaction, to the point where I had to have her repeat certain words, because she was talking so fast, I soon realized why: she was eating with her friends at a table when she was done my order. Another of the staff was eating at the table as well, and profusely coughing, which I found very unhygienic for an employee to be at work and coughing, while people are eating. I have worked in the service industry. Plenty of times. And of course I think that people in the service industry deserve to sit down and take a break, and eat, but the fact that everyone who was working that shift was also on the same break, made the atmosphere very unwelcoming.

I was disgusted by the dirty tables, there was not one that had been cleared or wiped down. I was taken aback by the rude and unprofessional staff and was unhappy with the sogginess of my burrito, which was dripping all over the place due to the fact that the employee had rushed so quickly through the prep and put a great deal of liquid in with the braised beef. I regretted having eaten there and wish I had taken my $20 elsewhere.

Furthermore, I really hope that whatever was causing the employee to cough profusely is not contagious. I hope the manager sees this and speaks to their staff about hygiene, cleanliness and consideration of...

I enjoyed a delicious vegan Burrito Bowl for lunch recently and it was so satisfying!

The menu offers tacos, burritos and quesadillas and I was pleasantly surprised at the vegan options available! I chose a veggie burrito bowl and you can customize and build your bowl with various ingredients. Vegan cheese shreds and fried tofu with seasoning were both available and so tasty! Other options were brown rice, beans, fajita veggies, various salsas, and toppings. There was no extra charge for guacamole like many places have. The portion size of the bowl was very generous and filling. The ingredients were all fresh!

There was indoor and outdoor seating on a patio area in front of the restaurant on River Avenue. The service was fantastic and staff were friendly. I absolutely loved my burrito bowl and look forward to...

It's a go to if you want a Food Baby! I've had their available protein options and my fav choice is shrimp. I typically order the medium shrimp burrito 🌯 They are very generous with the fill options (hence my food baby term). Everything is fresh and made on the spot. Lots of decisions to be made when you order so if it didn't taste right switch it up the next time to your liking (burrito bingo). After a few visits, you have had a chance to try different flavors to what food baby works for you. A large burrito is a pretty hefty 👶 There is some seating available in this small restaurant and they have a patio that is licensed. There is limited street parking however I use the loading zone parking to quickly tuck in order and go. You will be winning here at burrito...

06/06/2023. Dropped by to pickup lunch for 3. I really like the place. It’s sort of hard to find a parking spot. We parked across the street by the church. We were getting takeout so no problem. If you plan to dine-in I suggest you watch the clock as the parking patrol checks regularly. The place is not that big but the size fits the area. The selection is very good. We were given options for our Burritos which was nice. The portion is I just right at least for me. Lots of flavour and well worth going to. The only thing was a customer had a dog not on a leash. In my view unacceptable. Put the pooch on a leash or keep it out of the restaurant. All in all a good place to go and is comparable to most taco place we go to in Phoenix.

I went to Burrito Del Rio last night around 9:30 (they close at 10), The service was amazing. Even that late, everything was still fresh, hot, and ready to go. The staff were super friendly, and the place was still busy with people coming in. I ordered a burrito that was absolutely massive! I paid about $15 with tip and it was so loaded I’ve got leftovers for tomorrow. The only thing to note: it’s Osborne, so yeah, you’ll probably need to pay for parking or circle around a bit to find a spot. But honestly? Totally worth it. If you’re craving a legit, giant burrito, Burrito Del Rio is the spot. They also have a bunch of other items on their menu I can wait to try, also lots of cold drinks stocked 😍💕🥹
