The clothing and jewelry are amazing. Different, and I love different clothes. Every time I go with my husband on Osborne for dinner, I drop in there and pick up something. Today, I walked in again and found a gorgeous hippie type dress. Now, I am a well dressed, middle aged woman who would scream " big time shopper " when walking in to a store. I had to wait for a fitting room and then when she put the dress in the fitting room, there was a slurpee in the room I almost stepped on.I was never asked once if I needed help or if the dress fit. It did and I bought it. I had to wait to pay and whileI was waiting, my husband overheard the two other girls making fun of a lady trying to return something. I asked about a pendant if they had in sterling rather than in the gold filled and her answer was " I am not sure"..so if not sure..why not take the time to LOOK and be sure because with the 1000's of pieces, I would have likely purchased 3 pieces for gifts. The girls on the Silver Lotus side if they worked for me and I had a private shopper, they would both be FIRED! Not friendly, unhelpful, LAZY. Not the first time. Every time I walk in there, are different young girls who look as if they don't want to be there and as if customers are infringing on their thoughts. I'll return to the store and help myself as I always do but geez...this business could make a LOT of money if you had staff who knew...

I bought a gift for my girlfriend at Silver Lotus, and the owner helped me pick it out. She was friendly and engaging but never mentioned their no-refund policy, even though she knew it wasn’t for me. When we tried to return it—completely unused, with all tags, the full receipt, and a gift receipt—they refused a refund, offering only an exchange.
When I asked why this wasn’t mentioned at the time of purchase, the owner pointed to a small, hard-to-notice sign at the till. I took a photo of it—it’s a tiny frame with faint writing, barely visible behind a picture of a woman. No customer would reasonably see or notice this. Clearly, they don’t mention the policy because they know it would make people hesitate to buy gifts.
Since they don’t carry a large selection of similar items, we were forced to exchange for something we didn’t even want, leaving us stuck with $80+ in store credit. When I politely asked if they could make a one-time exception, the owner refused, spoke condescendingly, and barely gave us her attention while folding clothes.
We’ve shopped here multiple times, but they’ve never once mentioned their refund policy. Supporting local should be a good experience, but this was disappointing and unfair. Beware before purchasing—once they have your money, they won’t...
Read moreVery disappointed with the customer service at Silver Lotus. I bought some shorts unsure if I wanted to keep them and asked the employee if they do returns. She told me and my husband that they do returns within 10 days as long as all tags are attached, and there were unworn/in perfect condition. Six days later I went to return them and they told me they only do exchanges or store credit. I totally understand that some people make mistakes in how they communicate so I’m willing to take the loss, however my grievance is with the woman who I spoke to when I went to return them. She was immediately defensive. It’s great when you stick up for your employees, but in this case they were in the wrong. I realize they won’t change their policy for special cases, but at least give your customers a chance to speak without interrupting them and being abrasive. Being sympathetic and apologizing while still sticking to your policies...
