Naval Museum of Manitoba — Attraction in Winnipeg

Very full of information and the staff was very knowledgeable. However, the parking lot is only for staff (paid parking on the street) and all the doors were locked. The printed sign on the door said they opened at 8 and the brochure said 9. We arrived at 9:42. Pressed the service button, got no answer. We were eventually let in, but the doors remained locked after we entered, not allowing other visitors to enter. In the museum itself, lots of information, but it appeared as if the staff had not prepped for the day (video bird not turned on, brochure rack blocking displays etc)

A hidden gem! So much packed in this little space! If you can, have a museum attendant around to ask questions—adds so much! The museum curator joined us and was a fount of knowledge on every bell and ship model and artifact. And he had personal experience!
