Chicken Delight | Nairn Ave — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I ordered in person and took the order home, which is 7 minutes away. The gentleman that took my order was super polite and helpful, food was ready quick. Other than that we were not impressed. I should have known right by the quick turnaround that I received my order. The pizza did not look at all like the pictures and my toddler could have prepared a better pizza. The pizza dough was soft, soggy and the toppings looked like they were just tossed on, half had no green peppers. The french fries were as dry as a salad crouton and the chicken was dry as well. Probably was not fresh as the food was not hot temperature wise either. Even with me bringing home the food, the 7 minute drive should not have cooled off the food or dried it out that bad. Was not impressed and will just stick with KFC instead. Inside the restaurant there was no customers and looks like there needs to be some fixing up for sure. Wires sticking out of the wall where it looks like there use to be a plug, chair cushions are ripped and the lighting very dim. Do not recommend and will not return even if I had a coupon for 50% off... yuck. I am sure my garbage...

Another long-time Winnipeg business lost to the invasion that's been happening the last 4 years. How many franchises are going to be bought out to only be ruined by lower standards and integrity? Chicken Delight has clearly now fallen to this circus as well. Go into the store and meet the staff and you'll understand why it's run like a hangout and unlicensed street vendor. It's gotten to the point that if it's not Canadian owned, (someone with Canadian standards instead of 3rd world standards) expect to be cheated before you ever expect to get what you pay for. If you do order from here, expect a grumpy and distracted staff (they offer delivery service but sound ready to chastise you for using the service) and expect your portions (including the size of the chicken pieces) to be miniaturized. It's like they slaughtered a 1.5lb chick instead of a mature chicken. (Look for this in all of the bought-out franchises. They technically serve the same thing but they are so cheap they'll skimp on every penny they can instead of taking pride in quality.) What used to come in 2 boxes now comes in 1: that's how much things...

Honestly there's a chicken chef down the street just go there. The guy was rude on the phone said my small order which was wrong by the way would take an hour and fifteen minutes to get to my house and I only live a 15 minute walk away from the nairn chicken delight. I got two pieces of chicken, which were cold when they got here. The bun was crusty and stale and full of grease because they packed it in with the chicken. My salad was wrong and the guy never even asked me which salad I would like on the phone . After I waited over an hour and fifteen I called back to check on my food. The guy then said yeah yeah you called earlier I said it would be an hour and a half. So he lied to me and then I waited another 10 minutes for my food. When the delivery guy came into my house he gave me the wrong order. He then came back with the right one. I also ordered a pouting from them which was just fries and gravy. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. They honestly don't deserve even one star. I hope this was chicken delight on a bad day because it was the worst food service I've ever received and I've been on this planet...
