Firstly, there was no misunderstanding. We ordered Sprite with our main course, but it didn’t arrive until we were almost finished eating. It’s a canned drink that doesn't need to be prepared at the restaurant, so there’s really no excuse for the delay. Your server seemed distracted, talking to coworkers, and the drink arrived far too late. It’s common sense that mocktails take time to prepare, but we waited, expecting it to come with our meal.
Additionally, if you’re serving house recipes, that should be clearly stated on the menu. We expected a typical version of the dish, not your own twist, and the “your version” label was unclear. We asked for it to be spicy, and if that wasn’t possible, the server should’ve communicated that it couldn’t be made spicy. Instead, we were given crushed green chilies to add ourselves, which wasn’t the point. If that’s how it’s served, we feel it could be better prepared at home. It seems like there’s a lack of attention to customer preferences and service quality.
When we asked the manager to check the cameras regarding the delay, they completely ignored our request and started talking about unrelated matters instead. We didn’t leave angry because there was no point in arguing with an unprofessional manager who didn’t know how to address the issue. She was more authoritative than polite, especially with new guests celebrating a special occasion.
The staff seemed disinterested from the start—no greetings, no effort to make us feel welcome. And when the manager finally came to our table, she started with a rude attitude rather than offering polite customer service. It’s clear that your team needs better training in customer service and communication. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was truly disappointing.
Heads up to anyone thinking of eating at Copper Chimney on Madison St, Winnipeg! What was supposed to be a special celebration turned into a disaster. The service was careless and inattentive, our food was messed up, and the mocktails were downright awful. Staff were more interested in gossiping with each other than doing their jobs, giving customers zero priority. When asked about problems, they responded with nonsense and arguments instead of solutions. Orders were served late, sloppy, and without any care. Absolutely not the place for any special occasion — or any...

Read moreI was Driving across Canada with my family and stopped in at Lenscrafters @ Polo Park and I had to get a new prescription because I lost my glasses (Velma lol). I asked one of the workers for a recommendation for Indian food and was told about this place and specifically was recommended the samosas. The worker told me that every time her husband leaves town she buys this as a comfort food. Her being comforted by this restaurant told me enough that it was worth trying. We got an Indian platter which was delicious, the garlic naan was great and the samosas were huge and delicious. My wife said the Tamarind sauce reminded her of how her grandma made it and because of this we ordered an extra larger order to bring back home to Ontario with us. The Atmosphere of the restaurant with the beautiful art murals to Indian Cultural monuments and Hindu/Buddhist Gods make it a very welcoming. There was this waterfall thing with cups that made sitting and waiting for the takeout order feel relaxing. My Kids also got Chocolate/almond ice cream and me and my wife got mango smoothies and they tasted great and were loved by all. Our order 2 mango smoothies 2 Chocolate/Almond icecreams 2 garlic naans 8 Samosas and Indian platter with 5/6 different things. I just want to thank the kind servers, the great cooks and the word of mouth that introduced this place to my family...
