It truly guts me to knock this place, as I recently moved to Winnipeg and this place left me with such a great impression since day 1. In my opinion, it was hard to find good restaurants but this place was GOOD. I loved the Truffle pasta, sushi tower, beef tartare, truffle fries, and ESPECIALLY impressed by their amaretto sour.
I’ve come here for lunch/dinner numerous times. But after my last visit, I decided it’ll probably be a while before I come back. I’m big on customer service especially because dining-in is a treat, you pay a lot of money for one meal, and in my opinion, the service is just as important as the quality of the food.
Annoyingly enough, I got a call from my dad who asked if I could pack some food for him to try, because he’s never been there before. So I planned take home some of my pasta and a few wings. At this point I had to order wings by another server since our original server was avoiding us. By the end of dinner and chatting for a while, I realized my wings still haven’t come. When I asked about them, they said they never put the order in. Miscommunication on their end. Obviously with my dad expecting me to bring home wings and pasta, when they asked me if I still wanted them I said yes. I ended up having to pay FULL price for wings to-go ($16.99! - when they would have been half price if I got them on time)
My meal in total individually was well over $100 (including tip-yes I tipped, because I’ve been a server before and was mindful of the size of our group). Although I was disgusted and did not like how the situation was handled AT ALL. I also am not the type to cause a scene, or ruin the experience of company at a dinner party. I definitely internalized a lot of my frustration at the time.
I’m not one to write reviews often. But considering I never had the opportunity to speak to a manager. I do feel this needed to be shared and or addressed.
Also, not sure if this is relevant or not.. but I noticed I enjoyed my experience here every time, up until the owner or one of the owners left. This could be a coincidence but I just hope that the new management of this restaurant doesn’t end up ruining one of the best restaurants in Winnipeg. The service was really disappointed, and I left...

ORIGINAL: One star for the good and overpriced food. WORST SERVICE and deserves 0 star if I could give them. UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BIG DAY RUINED, DON'T BOTHER COMING HERE TO CELEBRATE.
Me and my friends came here on last Thursday to celebrate our university graduation, and it wasn't crowded on that day. I ordered a pepsi drink, waited for a while and it came out last? It's not like the server had to make it anyway, it's just PEPSI and ICE. Then, we ordered some food, and did let the server know that the APPERTIZERS will be SLIPT among us, so there was 6 OF US and a friend with dietary restriction (so obv he won't be sharing those dishes). One of the friends and I ordered steak and scallops roll ($25) and torched salmon pressed sushi ($18). I had to leave early so when I paid the bill, I asked the server about the appetizers, and she made a mistake of telling me there were only 2 of them, so I paid for the one more expensive. But in fact, there were 3... If I knew, I would have paid 2 out of 3. I also paid for the $25 roll because I wanted to treat my friends for attending my convocation. Later, when my friends checked out, they had to pay for what I already paid. The bill slipting wasn't accurate. In addition to that, we did tip our server quite nice, but the service we received was not acceptable.
When we decided that we would JUST CONTACT to them via email that means we tried to give them a last chance to solve the mistakes but they did not even reply us back. It seems like not only that server, even the owner DIDN'T CARE about their customers. When the owner finally responded, they only said they can compensate the difference, and nothing has been resolved since we contacted them (approx. 3 days). OUR HAPPY DAY WAS RUINED AND THAT'S THE BEST THEY CAN DO? THEY WASTED OUR TIME AND RUINED OUR CELEBRATION. The food was tasty and appealing, but a bit overpriced. Considering the price and the atmosphere of the restaurant, the service was still horrible. Definitely not coming back and not...
Read moreThe worst service we’ve ever had. The food is fine. We’ve been here before and the food was fine, but the service was kind of slow and not amazing. But they were new so we looked past that. We decided to come back a couple years later and the service was so awful that we didn’t even get seated after waiting over an hour and a half with the hostesses and servers assuring that we would get seated soon. We had asked if it would have been faster if we just ordered take out and they said no it would be better and faster if we ate in so we continued to wait. We then asked what time last call would be for the kitchen as it was starting to get late and they told us in about 30min at which time they proceeded to tell us that we would probably still have to wait longer than the 30min to even be seated. We can see that majority of the tables in the restaurant were vacant and had been vacant for awhile. Yet they refused to seat us because of a party that they were having on the patio. If they had wanted to only serve the party they should have closed down the restaurant for a private event and let us know when we first got there that they were not going to be serving anyone until the party was done. They clearly had no control over the count of the party either as we saw people coming and going with no regard as most people were not even ordering anything...
