This place used to be such a great place with an iced latte that was light years ahead of starbucks. The one girl who made it perfectly every time no longer works there. They certainly did not train their new staff how to make it. I've been there quiet a few times since the original girl left and it hasn't been the same. The girls tonight were both like deer caught in headlights. They hardly spoke, didn't smile and could be way more upbeat. I ordered an iced latte with sugar free vanilla and heavy cream. They gave it to me and it was more like a huge cup of heavy cream with a tiny bit of espresso. I asked her to put more espresso in there and the drink ended up tasting so bitter I had to return it. When I returned it the girl says to me it's because you ordered it with heavy cream. I said that's not true. I've never liked milk and have been ordering my lattes (hot and iced) any where I go made with heavy cream. It's not the dairy, the ratios are off. Not to mention the guy infront of me ordered a large caramel latte. They made a small one and he said i thought I ordered a large. The girl working says no problem I will remake it. She didn't remake it. She just added a bit more dairy and more ice and gave it back to him. Not the way to do it. You need to start over to make sure the ratios are done properly and everything is mixed. Also it states they carry sugar free caramel syrup...
Read moreI have been here several times, but never will again. The owner is very rude, and possibly racist.
My partner had gone there to work on her studies, and he came over and very rudely asked her to leave. In a very accusatory tone he said that she had been there since 9 am, and had been there 7 hours. This, quite plainly, was a lie. My partner had a 1 hour appointment at 10 am and got there by noon. He also pointed to a (small) sign that indicated a 2 hr time limit.
First of all, if that is store policy, it is possible to inform a customer of that in a polite and courteous manner, not come in guns blazing being rude and offensive. Second, that policy should be made obvious to all people entering, like a large poster on the front door. Not an obscure little sign that's easy to over look. My partner had never noticed it.
He asked my partner to leave, but there had been other patrons who had been there longer than she, that he did NOT ask to leave. It makes me wonder if the reason he asked her to leave is that she is from the Middle East. It sure as hell doesn't make sense for him to lie and kick her out when there were others that had been there longer.
Do not come here. This kind of behavior does not deserve...
Read moreI want to like this location, I really do. The interior is very nice and it has a great set up for working/studying. However, I have been there a number of times and each time I run into the same issues.
The music is far too loud. Even with my own sound cancelling earphones in and music going I can hear it. They do not turn it down.
I routinely get the wrong order, either they don't listen when they take the order or it's communicated incorrectly to whomever is making it.
The owner is a little intense. Getting a table can be challenging when it's busy, but the owner's abrupt verbal interventions are not positive.I was once simply standing in line to order and looking at a table to see if someone was about to leave, when the owner loudly declared to me that it was taken by someone else. The owner has also blocked off entire tables/sections during peak times for his personal friends to watch sports or to gather.
The food is very expensive for what it is.
Altogether, the customer service staff are friendly, but the service itself is lacking and the atmosphere is not...
