Ordered House Special Pho and upgrade to extra-large to share with family. The soup's taste tends to be salty. The portion size is small compared with other pho restaurants in town.(even I ordered Extra large) Service is below standard. The environment is ok, but it runs a bit dirty as the kitchen is open and close to the sitting area. I do not recommend anyone go there, do yourself a Favour and go somewhere else. We went there on Jan 3rd, 2023, at noon. The place is half empty, and we were sitting in the corner. This is not a restaurant; it is more like a fast-food chain with some additional services. You need to go to the front desk to place your order and pay upfront (tips also upfront ) So, they have this notice on their door saying they do not have sriracha sauce. That is ok for me. But they did not tell you that they also don't have bean sprouts. What kind of pho on earth does not come with bean sprouts and Thai basil? (at least in every single pho that I ever order in my life, every bowl comes with these two things.) NOONE absolutely NOBODY mentioned it to me before I placed the order and before I paid and even paid tips for their ridiculous service. So, When I got my pho, this is what it looks like. I went to ask if they forgot my bean sprout. They said:" No we don't have it today." No sorry nothing. So, I became a little bit angry. I said then I want part of my money back. "No, because our bean sprout is free, so we do not adjust the price." Still no sorry. I then asked for take-out containers as I do not want to stay there anymore. What can I do? I already paid and even paid tips to this human being talking nonsense in front of me. If you think mentioning you don't have sriracha sauce is more important than mentioning you don't have bean sprouts. You are scamming your customer.

First time trying this place with my mother but we ordered to go. Nice vibe outside (has a patio area - this day was rainy/gloomy though), nice vibe inside and they have great things on their menu… so many things to choose from! “Made Pho Each Other” is their cute but corny slogan. Their pricing is fair. We ordered two meals and one mango bubble tea with pearls. #52 BBQ beef vermicelli minus the peanuts/peanut sauce due to allergies #39 Tofu Noodle soup with beef broth. The above costs $36.29 tax inclusive. We waited for this as it seemed busy on their dine-in area, but wasn’t too bad of a wait time. I don’t know why but my name is always spelt wrong lol. No issue though. Food was hot and fresh. Mom enjoyed her tofu noodle soup. I enjoyed the BBQ beef vermicelli (and the sauce from the bbq beef) on the noodles was just enough to suffice without soup/broth for it. Salad was fresh. My only disappointment is their mango bubble tea with pearls. I think it tasted like a fake mango powder? Type of drink that I could not enjoy. Next time I think I’ll stick to the real fruit bubble teas instead. 4/5 star rating due to the not so enjoyable bubble tea powder-type taste. Other than that, we definitely would recommend for their dishes and will possibly come back to try other dishes to enjoy.

Racist!!!!!

Last Saturday, March 18, we arrived at the restaurant on Sterling Lyon Parkway at about 9.20pm. We patiently waited for the couple ahead of us to place their order and watched as they sat at an open table in the dining room. When it was my family to go up to the cashier I asked if we could have a table for three. The cashier said that we could only order take out because of the time (it was 9:24pm at this point). I asked, "what time is your last order". Anh Ng, the cashier, indicated they stopped taking dine-in orders at 9.20pm. I said that's strange since the restaurant doesn't close for another 35 minutes. She turned away and went to look at the orders she had on the table behind her.

Still standing at the register, I asked, "are you able to take our order?" She then came back to register and said, "yes, but take out only". I said ok, and placed an order to go.

I decided to return to my car to wait for my take out order to be ready. As I was returning to the restaurant to collect my food, I noticed two ladies had just parked next to me in the parking lot and went into the restaurant. They proceeded to order dine-in with the same cashier that 10 minutes prior said they were no longer taking dine-in orders. I felt bad and extremely racially profiled 🙁. I then asked Anh Ng why the ladies who came after us were allowed to sit and my family wasn't. The cashier lied and said they had a friend in the kitchen. When the lady came to the desk to inquire about something, I casually asked her if she knew anyone who worked at the restaurant and she replied, "no, I don't".

I felt extremely bad and was disappointed that my family and I encountered this at a restaurant we visit frequently. We felt like the service levels were adjusted because of the colour of our skin and this is very off putting and should not be tolerated. I have experienced racism before but this was a...

I split an XL House Special with a friend, as well as a Thai Coconut Coffee Slush.

For the price myself and my friend paid, we had a very big bowl of soup, unfortunately I didn't get a picture. It took very little time for us to pay at the front and receive our food at the table, which I love. For being a popular restaurant in a popular spot, this restaurant is kept very clean.

Although we had a very big bowl of soup, it was almost entirely made up of the rice noodles and broth (the two cheapest ingredients). We literally had 2-3 thin slices of rare beef, 2-3 thin slices of brisket, and ONLY ONE MEATBALL😭 (it was sliced up into several pieces.

Because of taste/texture preference we had asked for no tripe in our soup ...... We ended up with quite a lot of little bits of tripe throughout our soup. We chose not to bring it up with our server since we didn't have any dietary conditions, however this would be very concerning if either one of did have any health conditions.

My last minor complaint or suggestion would be to better advertise that food needs to be ordered at the front before customers are able to sit down. I went to this restaurant in the middle of December so we had big bulky winter jackets. We had already put our winter coats and purses on the chairs and had sat down for a moment shortly before a server corrected us and told us to get up and order before we are able to sit or place our coats down. Also to clarify, there were only 4 people in line ahead of us so myself and a friend sitting down wasn't malicious and could have been avoided.

I did have a good time at Pho Huong and I would come here again if I am in the area. However if I am looking to go into Winnipeg for specifically Pho, I would consider going...
