was going to order on Mother's Day but they don't deliver,I asked about Skip the dishes, the guy didn't know anything about that so fast forward to toda. I decide I will place the order & pick it up,but when I Google the name to get the phone number it says it's closed but I dialed the number anyway & apparently they are open,I tell him it says closed & he says don't Google,go to website?? whatever,so I place the order & go pick it up taking my life in my hands driving down Main St to get there. Same unfriendly guy that takes the order hands me my order & hands me the credit card machine, the bill is $67 for 3 dishes? I say $19 for fried rice, really?he says nothing,oh &when I ordered I asked if they include some white rice, the answer is no,so I added that for $2,then I ask for a take out menu, there are none,so I leave thinking this better be really good cause everything else so far is really bad & guess what,it's not!! Lemon chicken is just ok but not really ,breading & chicken are dry & greasy, fried rice is so so definitely not worth $19.25, Cantonese chow mein pretty bad, just a brown dish with a few pieces of broccoli & a little bit of beef & chicken, why are the noodles brown too? & not a packet of soy sauce incl let alone a fortune cookie! Very disappointed,I guess I ordered the wrong thing,I guess maybe dim sum is your specialty so my mistake however I think the guy that answers the phone & takes your payment should retire,he doesn't want to be there & he doesn't enhance the experience in any way, so to summarize.. terrible expensive food, terrible service, terrible experience. I thought I had good food there before but maybe it was next door, would not recommend the Chinese food ,the dim sum might be good but I don't have a take out menu to order from next...

Lots of locals means it a good place. Asians and non-asians. That is exactly what this dim sum place looks like.
I was in town and wanted some dim sum. I Google a random place and found this place that opens at 11am. I got there at 1120 and it was packed. Lots of locals, lots of Asians and the dim sum carts were busy.
I ordered the roast duck and then ate 4 dim sum as I waited. The dim sum were fresh and the service was good on this Saturday.
By the time the duck came I was almost full. The duck was good. But the dim sum was better. In hindsight I should just ate dim sum.
The menu had crazy amount of items. The venue definitely can host over 100+ people. Many family style tables set up to share dishes. Probably a great place for gatherings.
The casual dinning place was friendly and the dim sum carts were fast. The prices range small, large, and xlarge plates and price accordingly. The roast duck plus 5 dim sum dish set me back about $50. The dishes average about $6.00.
The parking is in the back and it was free on Saturday. I would definitely go back to this place for dim sum.
Revisited Sept 2023: quality seem to went a bit down. The duck was over cooked dry and on the inside was cold from...
Read moreA great dim sum experience. An abundance of carts, each with anything from delicious dumplings to desert buns to noodles and all the traditional fare - including some for the more seasoned or adventurous (tripe and chickens feet are not for everyone, but from what I've gathered are perfectly at home in dim sum).
Kum Koon is ABSOLUTELY a five star... IF your looking for its type of environment. It's an active, lively, loud and busy dim sum dining experience - great for seven of your coworkers, not so much for a second date sort of thing. If your looking for something quieter and more personalized, Kum Koon might not be the offering for you (there are several other smaller a la carte offerings in the immediate area that would be MUCH better suited for your needs).
Pro Tip - No matter HOW full you are or where you are in the dining experience - get at least one order of ginger beef when you see it. I find it delightful and there is NEVER enough to go around. It's spicy and flavorful without being not overly hot, crispy but not tough - and is probably my favorite thing...
