I came here with my friend, we ordered two orders of shrimp dumplings a bowl of rice and the spicy bbq soy sauce chicken, they served the dumplings first along with the rice! Who eats dumplings with rice ??? And it seems like they forgot that we ordered chicken too ... since it took so long we asked the server .. the server went to check and in no time the chicken was served BUT they served the wrong dish! We asked if they served the wrong dish because we couldn’t taste any spicy on it, the server took the dish back and said she was going to check! After couple of minutes the server came back with the same plate with just a bit of spicy sauce on the top, and with a lot of oil added! Their customer service are really bad too! Whenever we wanted to call a server for making orders it takes so long because they don’t even look at you! The worst thing is that I ended up with stomachache ! I would really not recommend this restaurant! Find better choices!

One of my favorite places to go. Its convenient being in the middle of the city, and the prices are fair. The food is decent. There are better and worse places, but this is a very nice place to go. The server's English tends to be spotty. Sometimes you get better ones than others, though usually its still very friendly. They are owned by the same people as the restaurant across the street, Noodle Express. The food is essentially the same. The atmosphere is higher end on this side. (the other side more like a "dai pai dong") After 2pm there is Happy Hour. Pretty much dinner time is always happy hour so that's a good thing! Certain items are only available on the weekend. Like Pineapple buns. Their egg tarts are the very flaky kind.

This place serves good dimsum at a cheap price if you come during happy hour. Which is from 2pm to 10pm (closing time). Service can be alittle slow, and you most likely will have to call someone over if you need anything, but that is not a huge deal. They don't have a lot of serving staff, so depending when you come, it can be very busy. Though once you place your order the food comes out very fast. The portions are perfect on the happy hour menu and since it is so cheap you can try quite a few items when you come.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Overcharging, and burnt food

I had an awful experience at this restaurant on April 19th around 2:00 PM. The customer service was truly unacceptable, and I left feeling disrespected and frustrated.

First of all, the staff were rude and unprofessional. Two women were working—one younger woman wearing glasses, a black hat, and a green shirt, and an older woman also with glasses dressed in black. The younger woman was at the cashier, and from the start, she was dismissive and unfriendly.

When I placed my order after 2:00pm, I asked if the happy hour dim sum pricing had been applied. She said no, and when I respectfully pointed out that it was past 2:00 PM (the happy hour time), she became defensive and rude. She claimed I had entered the restaurant at 1:55 PM, but I explained that I purposely waited until after 2:00 PM to place my order, and I even had proof of that. Despite this, she ignored what I said, gave me a dirty look, and aggressively punched in the order on the register before loudly yelling the total. I submitted my order after 2:00 PM, then I was following the happy hour time stated on your menu. If your policy is that customers who arrive before happy hour but don’t place their order until after are not eligible for the discount, then that rule should be clearly stated on the menu but its not..

Not only was I overcharged without the happy hour pricing, but when I asked for my receipt, she flat-out refused to give it to me. As a customer, I have every right to receive a receipt, and her refusal was completely unacceptable.

After that, she went into a back room and spoke to the older lady in Chinese—likely thinking I wouldn't understand. The older woman then came out and spoke loudly and aggressively, trying to justify the pricing. Her tone and demeanor were extremely unprofessional, and she gave my elderly parents and me mean, judgmental looks. It made us feel very uncomfortable. The situation drew the attention of other customers, and one even asked if I was okay.

Some of the food was completely burnt—it came out black and clearly overcooked, which was really disappointing.

Overall, this experience was upsetting and embarrassing. The behavior of both employees, especially the younger cashier, was completely out of line. I truly hope the owner addresses this issue, because this kind of treatment should never happen—especially not toward respectful customers and their families. I will not...

To be honest , this was so far the most annoying experience that I ever had. We came there around 3:20 and ordered food 10mins later. We ordered 2 staple foods which are rice stuffs and 3 dishes like beef balls and dumplings. So far, it was fine and nobody informed anything about how long did it cost to cook the food. Then we waited until 4:20 with no foods served at all. We asked the server once and he said he’s checking it. However, we still didn’t get any of our foods before we leave and it’s 4:25. At the same time, 3 tables that came after us had already got 2 or 3 dishes of their foods. The staffs first explained it costs 20 hours to cook rice dishes ( which I think he meant 20 mins) and then the lady said it has to be 3 dishes to place the foods ( which I totally understand). What I don’t understand is that we waited so long and they had enough time to give us at least one dish or they could have started cooking 3 small dishes we ordered if they insisted it needs 3 dishes to place the order. Anyway, there was something wrong with their service, yet they were not trying to make up for it and used so many excuses instead to prove ‘that’s not their problem ‘. So, we didn’t want to wait and paid for the cola we ordered before we left. I hope we were so far the only customers who were treated like this and none of u who read this comment would have to be treated...

My experience with Sampo Dimsum wasn't great! Last weekend August 6 my wife ordered for pick up of 8 seafood dumplings, 8 pork dumplings, 8 deluxed shrimp dumplings charged for $117.38 and I added a tip of $11.74 my total purchased $129.12. The lady named May was the cashier who told me that my transaction didn't go through, so I had to do it again this time the transaction was accepted. However, I was 100% sure my first transaction was accepted. I checked my online banking in the car after I left the place. There were two charges of $129.12. I also called and confirmed by the bank personnel if the 2 transactions were deducted. Went back to the restaurant to ask for my refund and told me No Refund since there was only one approved transaction. They couldn't even give the decline receipt from the first transaction. The lady was very rude she refused to give us the refund and said to call the bank after tuesday if the charge is still there. I put a claim through my bank, and it is under investigation right now. VERY INCONVENIENCE FOR ME. I'm not surprised if some customers are unhappy with their service. We also didn't receive the right order. I got 8 regular shrimp dumplings, 8 deluxe shrimp dimplings, and 8 pork dumplings. I would rather not come back or recommend the restaurant again. They need a better service and parking space is...
