Had my wedding there last Saturday. Beautiful venue and everyone had a good time. My bridesmaid sat her mom on her walker in the corner to keep her out of the way and Paul yelled at her to move. Her mother is disabled and she was trying to stay out of the way. While setting up the seating.... Paul went a head and rearranged my head tables with no notice. It’s not a big deal but it’s the principle of the matter. He knew for a year how the seating was going to be done ( I as well as my decor company told him a few times) and not once did he mention that it would be a problem. So as the bride during my cocktail hour which my guests were enjoying, I said to Paul the head tables shouldn’t be like that. He said well they won’t fit the other way. I asked him why he didn’t tell me that earlier on. And I mentioned he should have said something given that he had every opportunity and he didn’t. I got no answer but a blank stare. During the set up he put all the napkins down wrong. Once again during cocktail hour, I couldn’t enjoy myself because once I noticed this mistake, I had to spend my time fixing it. This was Pauls job to make sure the napkins were positioned properly (as discussed with him by my decore company) and my cousins and I had to redo 190 napkins. Not impresssd.
The worst part however, was we had two guests with gluten allergies. They both asked the servers if the food they were given was gluten free and they were told yes. One of our guests had a severe allergic reaction. I’m not sure if the servers weren’t told or the chef didn’t actually make a gluten free option or where the mixup was. However, this is a huge deal and 200 percent needs to be taken very seriously and the millennium centre needs to be more careful. We took every measure to ensure that both the millennium centre was notified and or decor place was notified of allergies ( it was listed on an extensive...
Read moreMy husband and I discovered this place after we had already booked a venue for our wedding. I was looking for a Wedding Social venue and after speaking to Cindy and looking at photos online, I had a change of heart and it was the best decision I made for our wedding! Not only was she extremely accommodating, she answered all our questions and concerns and did so with phenomenal service. We just felt taken care of. I had 100 guests in total and it was the perfect place for a semi-intimate reception venue. We loved the architecture and structure of the bank, and it fit perfectly with our vintage, classy theme. I can't stop hearing compliments from our guests about this place. The cigar room (Tapestry Room) is a must if you want those classy pictures with the groomsmen and groom. Cindy went above and beyond to make our day so special and we are forever thankful!! We had an amazing time and we are so grateful for the whole Heritage Winnipeg team for preserving such...
Read moreMy now husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Millennium Centre this past weekend and it was everything we dreamt of! At first I was worried that our smaller number of attendees (50) would look weird in the celebration hall but it was a great size! I have already had so many compliments on the photos I’ve shown others about how beautiful the architecture is. The building is utterly stunning, we needed almost no decor because it would take away from such a classy space.
Cindy was also very quick to respond to my questions and was so helpful throughout the...
