Wonderful little place in Transcona. Prices are good, and they offer hearty fare and quite a few options for those who aren't built to consume tremendous amounts... Senior friendly portions and prices. I've been for lunch and breakfast, and have never been disappointed. Fresh, made-in-house bread is all they serve here, and you can buy it by the loaf. they celebrate their connection to the community in their attitudes and décor, proudly showing historical photos of transcona on the inside and embracing young people with special needs behind the counter. Even if the food sucked (it doesn't) the absolute atmosphere of love and community is enough to get me back here. Eggs to order are done correctly. Choice of hashbrowns (shredded or hashbrowns). Rye bread has caraway in it, so if you're after a real old country flavour out of your rye bread, you have to check it out.

Easily one of the best breakfast places in Winnipeg. You come here and you leave with a smile. The breakfast menu is extensive and has something for everyone. Food was fresh and greasy and tasty! The eggs were done just right. Only wish there was more scrambled egg! The staff are always smiling and super friendly. And the price is just right. If you’re coming during peak breakfast hours on a weekend then be prepared to wait in line. We waited close to half an hour but it was definitely worth it. Parking can be difficult as there are no dedicated lots. Street parking is available if you’re lucky.

I had a craving for breakfast out. So, with supporting local in mind I went to L'arche Tova today. I ordered coffee with cream to go with my Denver Sandwich and home potatoes. It came hot, the pieces of ham were juicy. The peppers and onions mixed with cheese on their in house made potato dill bread was amazing. I ordered a loaf of the potato dill and the last two small cinnamon buns to go. Their cinnamon buns taste just like my Mom used to make. As the guy off the "you gotta eat here says", I highly recommend it!

This Transcona restaurant is a real find and has all kinds of qualities that makes it win-win-win.

To begin with, the food is wholesome, well prepared, including home baked breads, pastries, home made soup and so forth. There are burgers, quesadillas, platters and all day breakfast plates. The food is very good.

The service is quick and friendly. The portions are generous, and the prices fair and reasonable.

With Covid, the hours are 8-2pm, Tues to Sat only. Tables are well spaced and health procedures are followed to minimize risk.

Best yet, this is a social enterprise begun in 2012 as part of L'Arche, which seeks to create communities where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work, learn, and grow together. "Patronage is appreciated and demonstrates that you also believe in building a more compassionate society".

It truly is...

My wife and I went to this restaurant for breakfast. We had heard about it on the news and decided to experience it ourselves. We were seated quickly and by a very charming young lady. She quickly brought us coffee and water. She was very attentive to our needs. We placed our orders, breakfast of course, and waited patiently. Our orders were served up in a timely manner and looked amazing. We enjoyed the meal and everything tasted amazing. Bread was home baked there very tasty. We will be back and recommend this establishment to friends and family. Very deserving of a 5 star. Staff is excellent friendly and attentive to...
